It increases your chance of synth. success and also it can be called to fight by your side once it does it's final evolution.

It increases your chances at synthing items and can evolve into a battle partner that you invite similar to the NPC's card you get from the tutorial. They take up a party slot and only the leader's pm can be in the party.

so im a hunter i should probably get it to level in only strike? also what level does it evolve at.
