That's online stuff. I assume you play offline. You get the ability to synthesize I believe after chapter 1, in chapter 2 or 3. Either way, you'll get an explanation then about how to do it and what is needed.

first you needs some ingredence
then you need a board
then you need to put teh board in you PM partner mech
then you mach the amount of in greadience with the board
then you press the make button
then you hopefully get teh item woot
