Grinders

I bought a new weapon, Twin Autoguns, GRM weapons. I wanted to grind them, so I went to Parum and went to the GRM shop. I had 12 grinder base Cs in my inventory, the weapon was removed from the pallette, and I can't grind the weapon. Do grinders not work on guns or something?

Buy a [B] Grinder C board, and use the Grinder Base Cs to synthesise Grinder Cs

where is there a board for grinder Cs or how are they synthed? are they synthed with the PM? do i need a "[b] grinder c" with more stars/rarity to match where my blaster is (three i think)? i know i must be missing pretty stupid...
