GC: why did st do this?

How come when you beat normal on ep1 but not on ep2, hard is unlocked on both ep1&2? Well there no reason for me to complete hard mode ep2 now :

First of all, it helps. Secondly, it would be better to beat Hard mode Episode 2, because you will get some good experience.

I thought it was a good idea. Why do normal again if you already unlocked hard?

I agree, it's a good idea. That way for those of us who don't feel like beating Episode 2 just to unlock the new difficulties don't have to. Besides, atleast you were given the option, right?

If they hadn't included this, people would have been mad about that. I think they chose the best option they had.
