Nope. I actually think ST is did something that benefits us for once, besides making the game.

I saw S-Rank hacks.

It was the final moments of a De Ragan B assault and when he did his lava breath our force died. Then, about five seconds later the De Ragan died. We got S-Rank. I don't know about you but I smell hacks.

...yeah. Probably server lag, but we thought it was pretty funny.

He died, but he must have had a Scape Doll. Scape Dolls don't count on the death count.

Nope, she stayed dead until I moon'd her. Most peculiar indeed.

There have been rumors of a sort of, well, I'd call it an 'exploit' using one of the game's security measures to one's advantage. However, based on the game's mechanics and the extent of what I've heard that the 'exploit' can do, it won't be much of a problem.

EDIT: It also requires alot of work on the exploiter's part just to execute it, so it'll be only those with a malicious intent - and since it seems like one of the more useless 'hacks', also ALOT of spare time - that will probably use it.

I've seen people die and get ressed and still get S rank as well. I'd say it's likely a bug instead of "hacking".

There wont be hackers, there will just be rumors of item dupers that someone made up to make people go crazy

Is is possible that if you get Mooned LOL! that it doesn't count against your S Rank? Just curious as I have never tried that or heard of that. Maybe it doesn't count if you are Mooned http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I've had that happen probably 5 or 6 times. It seems that if someone dies in the last 5 or 10 seconds, it doesn't register.

It's going to be a bit more difficult to hack this game, with server side saving and gameguard software packaged with it.

My friend is a hacker. Every time we party he gets all the rares when it is set on random.

...It's a joke.

I think there are people hacking so far I've seen people using all the swear words without being filtered and having a way to rapidly say something over and over where the text gets larger and larger.

Plus I was in a game and a guy was talking about people who hacked to have level 999 already.

Speaking from experience, I remember the first major hacks came on the original PSO around the middle of the second month of release.

I expect it to be sooner on the PC and about the same time on PS2 and Xbox 360.

Optimus Prime and Bones were spotted in Universe 1 typing in the occassional red or blue text. Hacking? Not really. Annoying and attention craving? Indeed.

*This was in the PC/PS2 version. I should've screened it. Next time, next time.

Are you guys serious? Color and the increasing size chat bubble when people say the same thing are new chat features. Yes, built into the game. Not hax.

There are swear words that are not censored in the game, for whatever reason. Blame Sega, not us.

Among them, the f-bomb and the b-word are for some reason not censored. At one point Sega made it so that you couldn't say SHOES. Their idea of a chat filter is completely off the wall - that's what happens when your chat filter is made by people who speak Engrish.

And just because people are talking about hacks does not mean anyone is actually doing them.

And like I said elsewhere, there's nothing to hack in this game. You get to level 30 and you're stuck with the same B rank weapons until you hit 50, you toss your money away left and right because there's nothing worth spending money on besides clothes and decorations. There are currently pretty much no rares in the game at all, there's not even anything worth duplicating.

Just calm down and stop panicking. Sega knows what they're doing this time around.

Im assuming shoes is sensored because of "ho" is in there. I've seen it be more sensitve then that.

Ffuzzy-Logik
Oct 31, 2006, 03:57 AM
PSO censored shoes for "hoes" but let you say shoe.

In PSU, nothing plural is censored.

I fully expect the <beep>ers who ruined PSO to come and try. They probably already have come and already are trying. Time will tell if PSU is better than PSO with regard to this. I'll be keeping an eye out while waiting for the EU version to come out. If there are signs PSU is going the same way as PSO by the time I am done with the offline content, I won't even go online. PSO is still an itching scar. Don't need another one of those.

At first I thougth the 10 people ive seen level 50 with level 10 hunters were using something, but then I came to the conclusion they had no lives since this game came out.

People should stop farming Parum and go to Neudiaz, so hard to find a good team in there....

as for the cursing, if you say the four letter version, (say that fart were filtered) FART would come out $#%! but FARTING would not be censored. expect that to be fixed fairly soon >_<

(they should have an option to decide if we want a filter or not like most other mmo's, we are mostly adults here after all ~_^)

Or better yet, have it set automatically depending on what the parental lockout is set to.
