As far as I know it's just looks. I didn't notice any change in stats when I went with a full set of new parts.

So, you just want to run around naked?

Sounds like fun.

Cast Parts are just the equivalent to clothing

Yeppers, just clothes for casts. You can take em off and run around in your jump suit if you'd rather, enjoy! lol

I have on question tho .. Can you ever change your casing color? I know you can change your Skin Color (Makeovers), but the parts themselves, can you change the color?

When you do color changes they effect the parts as well. It just doesn't show it on the change color screen, which sucks because I was changing my colors just for my new parts, and couldn't actually see them without purchasing http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

does anyone know how many different head types there are, I'm thinking of changing my head (I have the samurai helmet and it's too popular) and was wondering what I could expect

Go to your changin room, its by your bed in your room.. thats where you de-equip them. Just hit remove, like you were unequiping a weapon.
