well it says 5000 to change head... and i dont get to look at them yet....so do i pay the 5000, then look at the heads? or do i accept 5000 to look at new heads, then CONFIRM at the end to pay or something?

and, are there different heads in the parts shop for casts....than there are to begin with?

No, you do not have to pay. I've done it before.

You just have to have 5k on you at the time. You can look at the options then cancel before deciding and thusly avoid having to pay.
