hmm i've been playing since release, quite a few hours a day. I'm 34 and halfway through 9. I also run with organized S rank groups though so it may be a bit slower for someone that just hops in groups. Faster for someone who plays more.

You can do it in 20 hours if you know exactly what you're doing. Maybe less if you are power leveled.

You should get your first class to lv10 if you kept it from day one, by the time you hit 35. I got Hunter to 10 when I was 33.

20-30hrs depending on your knowledge of the job, how effective your parties are, etc.

20 hours what the hell? I have like 45 hours and I am still 23. I don't really dedicate my play to leveling but still...

it took me about 40 hours

only way i could see you getting there by 20 hours is if you had mucho help. maybe constantly playing in 6 player rooms with higher levels

It depends on what you do more. I have 45 hours and I'm lvl 5 ranger but base level 25. I was dedicating most of my time to my shop tho

Let's see, I have about 50 hours and am level 30. I've spent a lot of time synthing, but I've also had some bad luck with parties. Oh well, I'll reach level cap soon enough, but in between that time I'll be synthing a lot and hopefully opening my shop before too long.
