They all save as BMP, is there a way to make them save as jpg default?

Good question. I'm altering them by hand and it's annoying.

I don't know how to change the SS format, hell I really never learned how to take screenshots (i just used print screen. I ended up just using fraps to take my screenshots, I can choose my format and if I want take movies.

NOOO DON'T DO THAT. It screws up the image when you do that in microsoft paint.

Just change the format .bmp to .jpg and Windows will do the work. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Use IrfanViews batch convert. I do it after I finish taking screens from my DVDs for sigs, avatars, random stuff, etc. 300+ megs of bitmaps is not fun on my hard drive.

As for changing the default to bmp, I haven't encountered any game that let you save as anything but bmps, and the ones that do use the most retarded jpeg or gif filter and they look terrible. I'll take big bitmap files over crappy looking jpegs.

Maybe I'm just being stupid by saying this because I don't have the PC Version Hence maybe this will cause some problems....but my suggestion is to get a free program off download.com that when you hit the "print screen" key to take a screenshot it will load up a window that lets you fool around with the image before it saves it and from there you can have it save as jpeg, jpg, etc... Here, I'll find you a link to such a program even.

ok, here...this is free for life, excellent and safe, if you want to find it on your own go to cnets download.com and search for "print screen" and download the one that has half a million downloads http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I always open up the image in PSP9 and change the extension.

I suppose I will need to buy the PC version at some point so I can take screenshots.

There are two options if you want to save the screenshots as jpeg.

1) Use FRAPS. Set the save files as JPEG.

2) After taking the screenshots, use Photoshop or another image editing program to batch convert them to JPEG.
