I can't tell if I want to use a Saber or a Sword. In PSO, my fav. was sword. Now sabers look better and perform better. I don't know which one to use!

Sword,is slow, but hits multiple enemies...and can easily kill in one hit.
Sabre,is faster, and can do same if not more dmg if you get a full 3hit PA off.

Sabers. I don't use anything else for hunters. Except a dagger once in a while.

To be honest it's your choice. I say use both, you don't have to stick with one. Sabers are great because they attack at a decent speed and are capable of hitting multiple targets with its PA, and you can also use a gun in your other hand. The sword is slow but it is capable of hitting multiple targets with its standard attack, and the PA hits multiple targets surrounding you.

Not like your action pallette can't hold more than one weapon.

They can,but not everyone can afford both.

Screw 'em both. I roll with Twin Rippers of varying grinds with 30+ element on them. I made them myself. Seven strikes ranging from 120-150 damage each? Your gimpy sword and sabers can't match that in such quick succession. However if this is out of your budget then Sabers. Buffed mobs start hitting for 250+ the higher rank you go up, and Saber prevents it all together withits PA. Sword can't do it.

I use both honestly. Just depends on what you are wanting out of a weapon.

saber if your group is heavy on the area weapons, just use the first PA on it to knock down mobs so the sword and spear users can get in free hits.

most people have one hit weapons? pull out that sword and mow down all the things while they're distracted with those one hit wonders.

i say mix and match for the best way to help th group

If you're serious then I need to party with people with gear they didn't have back at level 25. Everyone I party with, even their slow two handers does less on single strikes than my daggers.

As for my sword I just upgraded it to a Frosty Calibur, so let's hope I see similiar numbers to yours.

i use both but i prefer dual sabers. i went with my sword for a while but i just picked up these dual sabers and they're great. they hit fast enough that you can interupt enemy attacks... i finish off my target before they can get more than one or two (if any) hits in most of the time.

heh my pallette is like playing roulette. pretty much one of everything except twin sabers. You've got plenty of time to max all the current PA's of your job choice and pick your favorite.

Just do what most Hunters do and use a combo of both.
