Too many variations for a poll.

I prefer the twin line of blades. I keep three kinds with me since it's quite possible to burn through PP in a matter of seconds. I tried the 1 handed sword route and it didn't *feel* right.

Some styles when used in one group can make a huge Lawn Mower party. You know when you literally tear through 3 waves of monsters and no one got hit? lol

Tag enemies with my Ice Handgun, finish them off with my Saber/Lightning Dagger. Rinse and repeat.

If I get a mob causing problems, I switch to Twin Sabers and use Rising Crush to put them in the air.

Also use a Sword for slower enemies, like Koltovas.

I like to stay within close to melee range despite being a gunman. Usually, I will...
1. At the beginning of a mission, empty my three machineguns on whatever I see.
2. Spread my damage with a shotgun, or go point-blank with it.
3. Kite with a handgun and if things get hairy I'll use my saber to make things fly or conserve ammo.

Stay back, and either A)Foie/Diga/Rafoie/Radiga stuff into oblivion, or B)Barta for large groups. And heal when needed.

I mainly have 3 great swords (different elements) with me, my tornado break is at level 21 and I use the combo on the PA anytime 3 mobs are near me, the second spin lays around double the damage from the first spin seems like. When my PP runs out, I switch, 3 Great Swords is good to handle a run anywhere thus far. I use the Twin Blades as well for mobs like the Rhino's, Sleeping Warriors boss, etc. to knock em down and keep em from charging or stunning em, if they get near a Force or player with low health.

Situations dictate my style, that's the good thing about being a Hunter, we're all around weapons masters.

PA roulette at the moment. pick a weapon, drain the PA and move on next one. I'll end up focusing on pure double sabers when they are released.

I used saber/handgun exclusively for awhile till I synthed a 5 star spear. Now I'm lvling that up. For handgun element tho I prefered fire due to the burning DoT effect that seems to work of a % of the monsters max HP and amounts to a fair bit of extra damage at higher ranked missions.

I use shotgun on groups of smaller enemies, spamming ice and lightening bullets while slowly strafing. On flying and tougher/boss enemies I'll use my fire/ice rifles either in strafe or first person mode. If I run out of ammo on both, or just feel like getting in close I switch over to my dagger/pistol combo. I never die.

i try to play a tight game of counter attacking mobs with my spear and dus daggas, lock on strafe and retreat when they advance and attack, then spear them in during their recoil or their own retreat. mostly for solo with that, but i still keep those tactics in mind with a group, just i can be a bit more free in my PA usage.

sometimes i get impatient in solo and i take a few hits i could easily avoid tho...

I cast a TECHNIC, run away, cast another one and depending on the TECHNIC I may move strategially to a place where I can get a bunch of mobs to group together so I can take them out with a multi-mob hitting TECHNIC.

I also like to go around and attack a mob's back-side.

with a Hunter, I basically run in and swipe my saber and hope they die before I do.

My favored style so far is using knuckles (bogga danga) and spears (dus daggas), with a spare handgun w/frozen shot for hitting fliers, closing in, or just trying to tag things in high level games. Exactly. What's the rush? ;p We always go for S-rank, but we're not super anal about it. People die, shit happens, nothing you can really do. We only get mad if someone does it deliberaetly to be an asshole ;p

You guys will find me pretty social in parties... Im only "business" when I am working on my shop (and then its usualy a comment in my box and I am soloing). Ice handgun (later cards when added) and wand for me. (primarily earth or lightning) Mass explosions abound! What few survive are left frozen, shocked or silenced.

When using other classes, I prefer the handgun/saber combo or twin dagger. Old school, but effective.

I carry an element to support the weaknesses of the monsters I'm fighting, as a hunter. So I've got Light, Ice, Dark, and Ground. No one goes to Neudaiz, but if they did, I'd have a fire saber. Maybe I'll make one anyway.

Just for the sake of variety, really. I spent my first 30 levels using a twin saber, so that wore on my nerves pretty quick. I eventually made twin daggers, a sword, and some knuckles, and they're all fun to switch between. So, I'm just gonna make a single saber for the sake of difference. Not damage.
