View Full Version : Armor PM?

Hey. I'm trying to make an Armor-based PM now, I got Strike to like 10 and Tech to 2, and according to this PM feeding simulator: http://www.inconsequentialexistence.com/psu/
if I raise only armor from now on, it will be the claw-based GH-420 that I want. My question is, is there any guides out there yet that could help me in doing this cheaply? I kinda doubt it, so, if not, does anyone doing this have any advice? I know you can feed it default clothing, lol, for only armor raising. So I could, technically, keep re-making characters and putting the clothes in the common box, but that seems like it would take forever, because there's no option to just return to character select, only to the title screen(still free though!). Anyone have any ideas?

the cheapest was you can do it is via recreating CASTS over and over. Strip off their parts(clothes) and toos them in. Parts give +8 to PM armor stat and actualy armor from the new character gives +6.

I've done it that way. It takes about an hour and a half or so with the full feeding of the PM from so many remakes. It sucks, it's boring but the cheapest parts from the store is like 1k. The good point is you get 3-4 itesm per char. You'll fill the share box up pretty quick.

I'll try casts now. Is there any other way that doesn't require remaking new characters over and over?

buying armor, but its incredibly expensive

Units, clothes/parts, armor and Ornaments (im guessing the room decorations?) are what raise armor PM value. So ya you can buy from the store but your wallet will cry.

Think of it this way though. Parts on a cast are +8 like i said. a full feeding of just parts is 8 levels. thats a pretty good increase. 80 PM levels in 5 days if you get both feedings.

I know this is a bit off-topic, but also, what's the best food for ranged?

best thing for ranged I'm told are the 100 meseta traps from the store are supposed to be the fastest cheapest way to raise ranged.

Traps are the cheapest way to make a ranged. If you max out armor, it will turn into a GH-440, not a GH-420.

I'm making my armor PM by stripping CAST remakes. I can top off my PM in about 45 minutes doing this.

Can someone upload a chart of the various PM transformation psupedia.org appears to be down again x.x. {or a picture of GH-440}.

Has anyone tried a 440 yet? I'm curious to know if they're any good in combat?

There's spreadsheet on psupedia that explains it but i can't excess it once again it's all based on different points in various stats i'm not too sure as to which one goes where... kind of disappointed with my current build i'll have a 450 but i'll have to live with it.

Er... How do you take clothes off your new character? I can take off the armor, but I can't seem to remove any clothes from him, so each new char I make is only giving me 6 armor points. =/

My 440's alright. Not as aggressive as I'd like, but I deal. Uses nothing but shock shots and shock twin handguns, and likes to trash talk a lot. The shock procs a fair bit.

Oh just simply remove the arm equip, body and leg equip. Those are the only ones that can be removed for +8 armor each for a total of +24 armor each character.

My PM 440 uses a Shotgun and Twin Mechs with Shock Bullets. She is level 53 right now (always 10 levels ahead of you) and does 60 damage with her shotgun (fires four rounds so her skill is at least 11) and 110 x 2 with her twin mechs.

She takes a long time to line up her shots and only shoots at an enemy if it gets close to you (aka melee range). Bad for Rangers as you need to get into melee range for her to do anything, but good if your soloing B or A ranks in which mobs always get close to you. Invite your NPC and your PM and you can solo A's for items this way.

I really hope my PM get's smarter as her combat level rises. I'm not sure what combat level actually does, I leveled her combat up to level two but didn't notice any big change. Maybe when she get's to 10 she'll become a Fortegunner. It also seems her Combat level never rises unless you complete the mission. I did four A ranks yesterday, and abandoned the missions halfway through and she was still at level 2 (with no exp into the level). I think the PM's combat level is directly related to Mission Points. Just like our job levels are.

My PM's Synth trend is "Ranged Weapons" (even though I've never made or given her a weapon board before and only fed her CAST armor) and her play style is "Calculating" instead of "Stays by owner".

Hope this helps!

~Worst two days in a row on PSU~

Synthing
Megaline 89% - fail
Gigaline 50% - fail
Gigaline 52% - fail
Gigaline 53% - fail

Upgrading
Vullseye Upgrade 3 + Grinder B+7 - fail
Vullseye Upgrade 3 + Grinder B+8 - fail
Vullseye Upgrade 5 + Grinder B+10 - fail

Times like this make you want to cry a river of Nanocarbon.

440 = shotguns and gun type (good at gun making)

450 = casting type (good at force type items like rods and staves)

(Edit)

LOL ok that was late of me http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif but yes what everyone else said!
