View Full Version : Seriously, Where is the Hard, Very Hard and Ultimate mode

I really enjoyed PSU. The story was fun and the extra mode was kinda alright but the game is just darn too easy. Where is the hard, very hard and Ultimate mode ?

running the hardest free mission available in extra modem gave me an average of 900 experience point per kill. I went from level 1 to level 97 in less then 20 hours. During that 20 hours, I went and hunt for kubara wood to make my Vhara nail. I was level 80 and after doing the run 3 times, I gain a level. It's just pathetic.

Maybe I am guilty of playing too much PSO in the past. I was expecting PSU to be PSO with better graphic and it's not. Everything that I loved about PSO (Rare hunting, epic boss battle and challenging level) has been stripped down to a newbie introduction.

For the first time, I was even thinking of trading PSU back. Not once did I ever thought of something like that with my PSOX or POS3:GC. What is it left for more experience PSO fan ?

The "hard", "very hard" and "ultimate" modes are online as missions with rank B, A, and S respectively.

It's all online in the form of A rank and S rank missions. Offline mode is PSU on super easy mode.

S and A? It's C, B, A and S. If you think PSU offline is the true game, your rear is not prepared to be kicked so extraordinarily hard when it appears online and you spend 150+ hours to hit level 50.

Yeah I've got 50 some hours and I'm lvl 28.

How about you join everyone else online for a real challenge lol.

Wish I could go online. Sounds a little pathetic though, spending that much time for so little level ups on online. I may never buy a Phantasy Star game again (even though I did spend 1000+ hours in PSO and am a huge fan of all things Phantasy Star) if they continue to base everything around online.

They're trying to make a profit and you're making it very hard. Get a job already! $10 a month is chump change, even if all you do is collect like 4-5 cans on your way home from school.

Don't have any of the hardware for online, also.

*sigh* what can you expect from a game co. that has made the crappiest(sonic series)games ever, recently.
jk jk jk

I do not want to play online for now. It's not about affording it or not. I am only looking for what was available in PSO.

PSU may not be PSO, but I feel the newest version should at least be a little better than the last (cept for CARD Revolution, o god that game gave me nightmares).

This isnt pso, but its Very close.

The jap version already has ALOT of quest available. Plus im sure the S missions are no push overs. It will be really nice to see each planet have an endless mode, were you can go from the first mission all the way through the last, like in pso. That will give everyone something to try and do lol.

Yeah, it's kind of sad that offline mode is so darn easy. They give you an HP regen unit that heals like 79 HP every few seconds, the ability to cast Megistar as a Hunter, and the insanely powerful Double Saber. Everything offline doesn't stand a chance with that combination.

Online is a lot harder, which is nice because it makes you really work for your level and money and equipment. Not sure why offline is so easy though. It's still fun though.
