lol - I bought a 350 dagger and I wanted to break it to test something with B grinders and I ended up accidentally breaking it on +7. Man, I wish I could get my B rank weapon up to +7 winning on a 50/50 chance http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Anyone had luck grinding C class weapons with B grinders (better than C grinder luck)?

What was your luck level that day? Or does it have no relevance in the chance of successfully grinding a weapon/armor?

Wait, you can use a B Grinder to upgrade a C weapon?

I still don't know if it affects the chances (V high = V high?) But I keep breaking weapons lol

Why does my hands shake and heart race when I grind my 5* items? I had max luck yesterday and friend asked me to grinded her 5* cane she just made from 4 to 5. I told her that the success rate seems high. Are you cure you want me to?

Of course she says... and guess what happens... http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

She didn't believe me when I told her it broke....

From what I've seen, higher numbered grinders have greatly increased sucess chances, even if the NPC doesn't say so

I grinded 7 weapons from +4 to +5 using C+4 grinders. Two broke.
I then grinded the remaining 5 from +5 to +6 using C+8 grinders. None broke.

Both of the grinds where "high" according to the NPC

I broke my Claymore +2 with a B Grinder +6.. With max luck that day.. Guess it's time to upgrade to Calibur...

I guess I'll just sell off my weak grinders and only use +7 or higher grinders lol

If breaking weapons was a merit badge, I'd be the freakin scoutmaster :T

Not only this but also the individual Rank of a given weapon seems to also be taken into consideration. By this I mean, as you've already commented, that a "Very High" success chance on a B rank weapon might in fact have a lower "%" success chance in comparison to a "Very High" success chance on a C rank weapon. Then, given the two additional factors of Luck and also what kind of Grinder +X you are using, make grinding a pretty risky endeavor.

Personal after spending 100,000+ meseta on synthing and grinding I only grind weapons with No Chance of Failure now because with higher level weapons a few extra attack and PP points do not justify huge meseta and ingredient loss upon breaking 5* weaponry. It's better to have more %elemental damage than 6 extra attack, imho. Granted: Grinding is beneficial if your an extremely lucky or an extremely rich individual, of course.

Well that's my take on it anyway. Have fun http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
