How do you delete characters?

You don't delete them, you only overwrite them with a new character. Just like in PSO.

[Ryogen]

You can overwrite them.

[Cerulean]

You can't. However, you can create new characters in the same slot, which overwrites the old character.

Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to make a slot completely empty once a character has been made in it.
