***UPDATE ON CHEATING***
Apperently it has started on the GC! Im so sad as to see this unfold. I was playing on Vhard with my Lv48 RAmar and there was some guy that entered. He kept on asking for a telepipe, and we couldnt respond as we were on the 3rd boss. He then got angry at us and said this exactly "Turn of your GC NOW or i will erase everything." So i thought to myself "He aint doing a damn thing, theres no cheating!" And boom he got the entire team with a FSOD! we lost all our items and everything! Im angry and im gonna cancel my hunters license. I hope someone can learn from this. PSO will forever be scared by cheaters. Please reply.

so NOT cool. I was FSODed last night, i forgot to deposit my Musashi in my bank, in which it was unequipped and when I about to leave the game, someone named X joined he was like Here's a gift, i was leaving anyway and was near portal, so exit to lobby and bam! FSOD, CHeaters are abroad. Very lame, very very very lame. I lost my Musashi and since I was only lvl 39, the only good weapon i had so far, i ended up trading 2 photon drops for the sword just so i can have it back. LLAMA! Well he gave me free Kaldabolg as well, in which i didnt have, so maybe it was a good thing it happened, i got my Musashi back and got a Kaladbolg, hmmm, funny how things work out. Peace!

Maybe someone figured out the encryption algorithm and has the GC passed through their computer.

Im not asking you to believe me, although it might save your caharcter i do want you take pre-caution. i used to have an account with over 1,000 posts here when the dreamcast one was still playable. Just because i didnt open one and start a bunch of useless threads doesnt mean that i am a liar. I only post what needs to be posted, maybe i should start a huge thread about how "Why dont we have keyboards?" Maybe that will convince you.

Trust me, more posts don't mean more credit...
The story just seems far fetched, and no one else has experienced this.

People are just affraid to accept the fact that PSO will never be left unscathed. it will forever be a hackers wasteland and never the game that it was intended to be. R.I.P PSO! I will forever miss you....
Ok, first of all, lets clarify here.
Hacker-A person who uses their skill for good, and would hack an encrypted password for someone with authority.
Cracker-A person who uses their skill for evil, and would crack anything for their, or someone elses ammusment.
Now, back to the topic.
Uhh...I don't really know about if that can happen or not, because I can't really get online with my PSO (yet!). But, all I can say is that you really can't call it a 'hackers'(crackers) wasteland. All online games have crackers, and back doors for crackers to get in. It is nearly impossible for programmers to cover every hole. I can garantee that there is not one game or program that does not have at least 5 holes for crackers to get in. And if someone tells you that a program does, they are lieing, because crackers well always find a way in.
I forgot the rest of what i was saying = . I'll have to get back to you with that.

It happened to me twice with my FOmar. Not sure if a hacker did it, or it was a bad connection but it did occur to me. I lost everything in my inventory except for the items that were equiped and the items in my storage.
Pissed me off as well...Difluids for a Force can get expensive.

Someone else that knows the difference between hackers & crackers... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
I tend to think of PSO pk/ck'ers as neither, but more like the common loser who thinks he's cool/powerful.

my n00b question for the day... whats CK mean? i know all the others but cant seem to recall CK...
Hehe....yes, alot of people don't know the difference. But just like RedFox, I am more or less a newb to PSO(as well as PSOW), so, possibly someone could make some sort of list of what everything means?
Thank you, to anyone that does.

Sorry man didnt know you went to Hacker University. Yes i know what a hacker/cracker is. But everyone has thier own definition for it right? Until i see it in Websters Dictionary, i will then go by the "right" way.

CK = Character Kill (supposedly kills your character and renders it useless... have to create a hole new character... never happened to me so I can't speak from experience)
PK: Player Kill. Violating the general physical laws regarding the game, a player kills another player, often with Resta through means I don't totally understand.
CK: Character Kill. Makes a character totally useless and unplayable. This is, for example, manifested in causing your HP maximum to be zero, effectively killing you instantly no matter what happens.
NOL: A form of CK. This causes your character to become an exact replica of the NPC character NOL from the Journalistic Pursuit quest. While it doesn't make the character unusable, it does in effect remove all of your hard work. While the method works with any NPC character, the action itself is simply known in sum as NOL.
FSOD: Frozen Screen Of Death. Your screen and controls lock up, forcing you to simply turn off the game system and lose all unequipped items.
BSOD: Black Screen Of Death. I'm not certain what ramifications this has on the character, but it's another form of lockup.
That's all I can get off the top of my head, at least in the area of malevolent character disruption.

Barubary should know. BTW, I expect we'll have less cheating because of the high price of PSO. Hey, it's easier to 'hide' in mainly unused blocks. Heh heh, we get like 1 game a week in the block where my friends and I play
serialtoon, what's with the hostilaty? I was just telling you so in the future, you can get it right.
And thank you Kupi.

Why not wait till ask for a definition ok LM. And no hostility here, just anger at the games flaws.
