Why is my character silent?

I always hear other player's characters yelling out stuff as they attack and get hit, but my character is always completely silent. It doesn't bother me much, but I'm curious as to why he's so quiet. Maybe it's the voice type I picked for him?

I was at first, but I switched to Hunter after getting Ranger to level 3.

Are you a PC player using a 5.1 speaker setup? If so that would explain it. its a known problem for that setup. i have tried changing all my setting to stereo and mono on my speaker setup but nothing works. I think it has something to do with poor Dolby Pro LogicII encoding, but im not an expert so im not sure. What i did was send ST an email requesting a PC patch for DD5.1 like the 360 has and also for widescreen support like the 360 has. Im not sure if that will help but maybe if enough people make enough noise they will consider it.

my guy yells and gruns ont he third hit on a combo, makes it sound like all the force is in that hit, also every other PA

5.1 speaker setup? I wish!! I'm just using two ancient speakers or headphones, and I can hear the grunts of other characters just fine.
