View Full Version : Would seeing "PSOWorld member" in someones shop ad actually

I know I've seen a few ad's with this in it, and I was kind of curious. Does everyone here find that those who have "psoworld" mentioned in there ad must be a bit more trustworthy in running their shops? Would tossing "PSOWorld" into my ad give my shop more traffic?

... Or is everyone open minded enough to just check shops at random?

If I searched for an item, and one of the shops had PSOW in ad, I'd check there first.

So what would be better to have in my ad, then? "prices approx. 50% off" or "PSOworld member"? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

If I see PSOW member, I usually go to their shop first. I put PSOW member in mine so people know who I am and can contact me if need be. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Yeah, I would check their shops first. I would like to be believe that members of PSO-W would be a little bit more honest with their prices.

Everyone says "prices 50% off". Really I don't see the point in putting that at all. It means nothing since so many people lie about it. Not that you'd be lying.

I don't mention anything about how much % off from a vendor. I do price my stuff appropriately though, I'd say.

My shop ad rules.

I do stop at PSOW player's shop if I see it in a search.

I don't care if someone is a psow member or not...I buy from whoever has the best price.

It might help, but in the end it comes down to your prices.

yeah I check shops if it has PSOW in the ad =3

I put "PSOW shop" in my ad for that reason http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Well, I feel my prices are fair enough. They range from 35-70% of the NPC costs, depending on the item type (ie. armors will be above 50%, where decorations will likely be below).

Well, feel free to stop by, then. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif I'll stick PSOWmember in there for now!

Truth be told, I pay no attention to ads. I just search for an item and start making my way down the list. That's honestly the most reliable method I've found. Incidentally, how are those search results ordered?? It seems random, yet every time you redo the search to keep looking it seems to keep them in the same order.

I don't lie on my prices, it's 50% off NPC. I put 20 Marselines in my shop for 600 meseta each this afternoon. I went to the 2nd floor in GC to get synth items and when I came back, they were sold out.

The problem is I can't farm/synth Marseline fast enough for some customers. I even had players asking me to hold on to some just for them.

Um... I search for item. And then, and here's the kicker, I start fron the top of the list and work my way down. PSO-W member in their ad, or not, makes no difference to me.

If I see PSOW member in the shop's ad, I'll go and take a looksy.

But if it has X% off of whatever, I rarely look. There are so many people advertising that (and many falsely), that I don't even bother.

The last time I checked out a store which advertised how much percentage off the vendor had an ad like this:

"0% off of all vendor items, everyday!" Not sure if it was a typo or not, but it gave me a laugh. And hey, when I visited his shop, at least I knew he was being truthful.
