Story Mode Video Playback Skippage Problem!

I seem to be the only human in existance with this problem.

When I play story mode, or let the Title screen video run, they give me tons of sound and video skipping (roughly every 5 seconds), so badly that I can't bare to touch story mode. The online Spaceport departure video runs just FINE for some reason. I want to play through story mode really badly, but refuse to do so until I can appreciate the full experience of it without these playback problems! In-game/3D cinema runs fine as well.

Is anyone else having these problems, know why, how to fix it, or what kind of good video drives to obtain for an ATI 9600?

I have the same problems myself. It happens in both story and network mode. I had to turn the music off because of it. I believe that it is a known issue, but am not all that hopeful of a fix.

I have this problem also maybe it has to do something with how it reads off the hardrive? I don't really know either.

I get the same thing, I have to use the subtitles in Story Mode to keep a track of what's going on, as all the speech gets out of sync (so I get Fullyen Curtz talking when Karen Erra is on-screen)

Also, I occasionally get the music skipping online. Good to know I'm not the only one. And yes, the sound skipping happens in Network Mode too, but not often enough for me to turn the sound off.
