I wonder, what's the point in synthing a force weapon other than when it's not available in shops?
You can't get any elemental bonus with it i'm right?

Same as a gun then eh?

Replace one if it breaks after a grind.

Lower star ones for mag food.

You have plenty of materials to make them and it could be easier to sell full force weapons rather than material by material.

Basically.

Though boards tend to be far cheaper than the constructed weapon, and if you have the materials on-hand anyways, why not. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Even though Tomoirods will be purchasable when the second patch hits, I'll probably still try my hand at synthing some backups for grinding. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Somthing tells me with all the over priced shops that it will be cheaper to buy it from the npc rather than craft it...

but if you have the stuff I guess you can do it, but then you might fail and lose money when you probably could sell the mats and have enough to buy it from the npc and then some.

So, synthign guns and casting weapons isn't too worth it?

its a yes/no answer if you find the board and have the mats its probably worth it, if you have to go buy everything its probably not.

The lower rank stuff you probably will find an abundance of materials for so synthing them will be a minimal cost to you which is nice when making PM food tho you can probably sell them in a shop also if you wanted to. Synthing 4 star probably isnt worthwhile though 5 star can be even when buying the materials if your success ratio is high enough.

Well cant buy 5* right now from the NPC but as far as I know in an update or two you can buy up to 6* from the npc....

the craft rates get lower and lower as the *****'s ad up on the weapons I am at about 60% to make a force 5* weapon much lower than that and I dont think it will be worth the risk unless the npc price is way higher than the cost of mats.

Unless you mass produce the synth-only weapons for your shop with a reasonably high % of success, then it's not worth it to buy the materials. If you do, however, meet these requirements it can be a huge money maker.

Now... if only everybody in the gol durn universe didn't have a Strike PM. Business has slowed down for me. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Working on a Ranged PM for my Guntecher... but maybe i'll open a shop since this PM will be pure and i'll have higher success rates for mass producing weapons. Maybe. I'm kind of greedy now. >.>

I've got a strike PM, pure ranged, and pure armor PM all brewing atm lol. On the plus side I can use everything off the new characters made in that 4th slot http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Business will boom when you do underhanded things like undercutting. Sure, you make enemies, but those guys are usually elitists trying to milk every meseta out of their already overpriced items.

I sell at 1/2 of npc cost for anything that can be bought by the npc, not sure how my weapon prices would go but I do always sell cheaper than everybody, not because I am trying to undercut anybody but because I try to be fair and thats the price I want to buy things at.

I hate trying to find mats in a shop only to have them cost more than the npc.....

but undercuting starts a vicious cycle and uventully everybody loses...

Right now I am not selling anything even at 1/2 off so I must be a victim of the shop bug where nobody can find my shop because I sold stuff like crazy the first 2 days.
