Has anyone had someone force & guess a password of your game before? I had some smartass called "Angel" on universe 1 guess my De Ragan solo run game's password until she got in. I told her to get out pretty fast and she/he went on about an easy password.

If you don't know the password of a game and the game wasn't made to include you, don't try to join it, or you'll get a whole mouthful of abuse.

Here's a hint: Make a better password...

If they just come in anyway, just say hi, drop a rare item, then boot him

It was a good password. Not like it was 0000 or 9999

Apparantly it wasn't good enough or s/he wouldn't have gotten in.

Thats weird, I thought people loss the ability to rejoin a party after they were kicked from it.

Hahaha, that's funny. But I do have that happen. I don't even bother with argueing. I just say "Congrats!" and then boot them. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

theres really only 10,000 combonations you can have, it wouldn't take someone who really wanted in to get in very long...

It would take about...8 hours and 20 minutes to try every single password. By that time your done with alot of runs and stuff. I have tried to guess that password and like after some number, forgot what the number was, the game refused to let me put in more password.

Try to avoid patterns or common numbers (0909, 1337, 1234, 9876, 0042... etc.) as those are what are generally guessed first and are usually correct. Luggage is the same way as thieves usually check out the 'stock' number combinations for luggage as many people are too lazy to change them.

I've done riddles with my passwords before where I have an event as the title and the password is the year in which it happened. I've yet to have someone join in one of those games.

I've done the same, but with calculus once, and algebra once. Nobody bothered. It was easy calculus, too. Though, I also once put the password in comment, took a while for people to join that one.

I wouldn't even talk to anyone who's broken my password (no one yet); I'd just boot them.

Someone broke into my passworded game on the XBox360 Beta. I gave him a hug.

But why would you even want to guess someone's password? LOL

Do they think they'll find some hidden treasure? Maybe make a friend by scaring the crap out of someone? I know people are entitled to use their account with their monthly fee however they desire, but at least spamming in the lobbies is social. This I just don't get.

I think its funny when someone has an easy password and you guess it. Then they act all surprise like "OMZG HOW U FIGURE IT OUT???" like 0001 or 0002

Precisely what I do and it worked for me lol. Anyways, there's no problem really with how easy it is to just kick someone http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Totally off-topic, but I see your username, and I see your signature, and once again I have no idea how anyone can read the writing in the PSUniverse.

My passwords are always "1337" because it's so original and nobody will ever guess it.

Nobody is ever on Universe 15 anyway so that's nothing special.

On the beta i acidentally guessed the password for a game just to see if i could. Then i left imediately after saying sorry. I wasn't wanting to play them just test out the password system.

Don't have it yet, so going by what I read here...
Whoa, passwords are now 4-number things? ST has <beep>ed up massively there. 4-number codes are way too easy. What was wrong with the 10-alfa-num passwords of PSO? At least on PSO we were relatively safe in our locked teams.

with the ability to kick it really doesnt matter, plus if people dont know he password to the game and are just guessing it theres no reason why they shouldnt expect a boot for it

i prefer this system and like someone said it would take hours to guess if you made it hard and whos gonna waste their time guessing that

The little lock next to the party name should pretty clearly indicate that nobody in that game wants you in unless you are invited. Sure, I can guess passwords, but if I'm not wanted, why would I? Every time I've locked a game, the PW is 0001, and nobody has entered, and if someone did, I'd just boot them, and maybe blacklist them, because if they cant figure out that I dont want to play with them when the game is locked, I probably wont like them in an open party either.

Next update, ST is going to announce that password guessing is now officially part of the game. Something has to present a level of challenge, after all.

I once saw a game who's title and comment together read: "Join us! The Password is 2, 1 + 0 http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif" The password was 0010. I had fun in that group.

We agreed that in the future it should be, "Join us! The Password is 15 out of 16!"
