We all do, we've been waiting for a month more than them, but think of this... we get to start with more things than when they did http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

For all the new players about to come in then I'll give you this advice.

When you're searching through player shops for items please check other player shops and even npc shops first. Lots and I mean LOTS of people like to overprice stuff to take advantage of lazy/new/players who still dont know's money. Lots of shops price stuff more then the npc store charges. Also, don't trust ads that say they're cheaper because most of the time they're over the normal price. So don't be lazy! Just take a few extra minutes to check other places and save meseta.

It wouldn't surprise me if it didn't...
They've had more than enough time to announce any changes having to do with the EU launch,
So it's probably safe to assume it will be identical to the US launch.

I envy the EU players though, they managed to jump in right after a patch...

INDEED! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif Only 9 days to go now, I cannot wait for this game, and was very sad http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif when the BETA was stopped and i knew i had to wait many long days to be able to play again.

in any case i hope the US cut the EU gamers some slack and give us a halping hand as they have had a BIG head start and know what they are doing now!!

Also any EU gamers out there and that are gettin it on day of release (or have imported) and are going online for the forceable future http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif My Gamer TAG Is: CarlosBambarlos, add me and we can play catch up to the americans, lol

Also take this time to think of the countries that dont even get the game on the 24th, very sad http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Tss i'm gonna stop to play in extra mode and just wait the Eu version for now .

I've been playing the story mode very casually (only on Chapter 6 lol) and it's been a blast.

It's seriously overlooked, IMO. (Just don't go expecting FFXII standards or something)

I've also decided hold off network mode until they allow EU subscriptions on the Xbox 360 marketplace, and hopefully more content will have been added by the time things go live for us.

What platform is veryone planning on going online on?

I'm getting PC and 360, but will probably plump for PC as more chance of bumping into m8's.

Hmmm, countdown....I think I will play the offline stuff first once I have it. Unless I have a load of friends who want to drag me online rightaway. Curious how it will go.
Another thing depending on the friends is the platform. I have all 3, but I won't get more than one. From what I can see, it is likely I will end up on XBox360.

well, 10 days + shipping, heh. Playing story mode aswell. Great game! The chapters take some time though, and only being able to save in certain spots also means alot of time investment....

I'm gonna play online right away, I'm backwards compared to my team mates, so I'll need to catch up http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif. Although I'll look like a newb, I nkow what to do and what not to do, so I'm ok. I just need to manage to find a cable that'll attach a 360 controller onto my laptop....

I got some more tips also for new players and people buying the game.

If EU launch day is anything like US, then don't expect Sega to have a smooth launch. They didn't learn from JP and they won't learn from US launch. I'd suggest getting on the billing site the day before shipment and starting your account time then. The first day of launch the billing site was super slow to load and then it would just give you an error. It took me all day just to get my payment through.

Also, play the tutorial. It explains alot of stuff and you get a free PA from it. Also you get one of the Storymode's NPC's card so you can have them in your party to fill a spot or to help you solo. You can get to the tutorial by talking to your partner machine in your room.

When you buy your game make sure to check your box. When the game was released here some people ended up not having their game in the box when they left and some even had the wrong game from a completely different company in their box. I'd suggest checking your box before leaving the store to save you a trip back.

One last note. If you're going to have a conversation with the words poof or pork in it, put a / . or a space somewhere in the spelling because they are censored. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

lol yeah heard about that, stronghold legends was in some boxes right?

is the censorship harder then in PSO ? when i think about PSOv1 on DC that was a pain http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Yep. I heard of the store accidently not putting the game in the box so I checked mine to make sure. When I got home I spent time on storymode and the forums (couldn't get online because of the billing site) and read how someone got the wrong game in their psu box. They went to get a new one and it turns out the whole PSU shipment had the wrong game in each box.

The censor is still as weird as it was in the past versions. I remember not being able to say shoes, you can now. It censors the most common bad words but you can say different variaions of them, like adding an s or ing to it. So some censors do make sense, some should be censored, and some seemed like they are censored as a joke.

I found this very helpful topic over at GFAQs (who'da thought something USEFUL came out of those boards!)

http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/file/phantasy_star_universe_item_price.txt

(It was a forum topic, but it looks like some made an FAQ on it now http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif)

Yup. Still SW. on FFXI we have Sblonde, Daz, Waylander and me left. On PSU, it is likely that Ulyoth, MightyMoomba and Ravage (and probably some others) will be around again.
And I will remember to check the thing in the shop when getting it.
