I HATE Dimmagolus! 1100 meseta and 12 mission points on C...wtf...I'm never soloing that again.

Dimmagolus was unimpressive when I saw he was a clone in story mode...

this whole game is pretty unimpressive at the moment. yet i continue to play because i want my god damn double saber unlocked!

I thought that was pretty good when I solo'd him. I'm lv 34 and thought the reward was sweet for C rank. especially since he's so easy.

he's easy, but I didn't bring any guns with me http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif He flies a lot more frequently that I remember Onmagoug taking off.

I just fought him doing a test run of the level on C-Rank, and he ended up dropping a B-Rank Unit. I doubt Rabol/Mega is really a high-demand item, but woohoo.

I haven't had time to sneak on (I'm at work lol) but I'm at the field base right before him. Flying boss so a ranger shouldn't have problems soloing (lv33 Newman ranger)? I've got 3 decent powered rifles. Just wondering if he'd be worth it to run him real quick. The mission right before seemed good for xp and a quick 5 mission points. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Alpha-Hunter
Nov 17, 2006, 10:18 AM
he dropped the same for me. it was cool and all but it only has a body slot.pretty lack luster for a rank b armor. but it was a free boss drop, lol.

a wussy that flies away? that sux, hope there are more tough bosses who can stay on the ground where us hunters can slash him to death.

Nov 17, 2006, 11:34 AM
did C solo as a force, thought the stage was great xp for awhile till i ran into way too many works and stuff that but the boss took forever to kill he is in the air 98% of the stage, I finaly busted his wings and he fell then he died 2 hits later :/...

Turambar
Nov 17, 2006, 11:40 AM
Well, the idea with the tengou boss and its clones IS to shoot out its wings....not to wait for it to actually land.

Nov 17, 2006, 11:58 AM
You should know better to always carry a sidearm...
If you aim and hit his wing while he is in the air he will fall back down on the ground for about 15 seconds.

What is this "Rabol/Mega" ya'll are talking about? *is interested*

Syl

It's the Moatoob version of the mega- armor. It's like Megaline and Meh-senba(?) pretty much

I agree, Dimmagolus is a major pain. Did a run with Lou an' me PM on C rank.

Not only was he flying 90% of the time, but he LOVED to do the paralysis move (the one where those things pop outta the ground and hold you in place) and throw rocks/small creatures. One time he actually just threw three salvoes in a row... damn hard to hit his wings when he keeps on swooping to the opposite side.

He seems like less of an actual threat though... most of his attacks seemed less damaging than C Onmaghog. He is, however, a huge pain in the rear.

Good to know on C rank he can drop some decent loot... because the best thing I got from his loot was a trimate or two.

I'm wondering if he'll be tough on A rank, need to try that. Those slow ball things he throws track a little on C, maybe more on A, and they'll surely shock more on A. Every time he rooted me with those wierd ground things he immediately followed it up with his tornado attack, didn't deal much on C but if its anything like the lightning...didn't throw any rocks at all though which I thought was odd.

Just bring a Ranger to shoot him down and he's super easy. An exact replica of the Demon mission except he flies a lot more.

Good news is this is my new running mission probably, gives more meseta then Ragan.

1100 Meseta
12 Points

As a Ranger, this fight is cake. Even at 20. He's flying for maybe 5 seconds before his wings get clipped. When he's on the ground he has like, 5 HP. Hunters tear him to shreds with Shock Halberts.

Easy meseta. Easy points. More XP than Parum. Screw the De Ragan, this is my new home. I'll try The Relics site on Neudaiz and the Endrum stuff later. Right now, Dim is my bitch.

1850 meseta for S ranked Neudaiz relics B - i think this where the money will be plus its short.

Iono but S rank on dimmagolus A gives like 4800 meseta and 24 job points. Thats were the money is. Some monsters are dropping damn near 800 meseta, shits CRAZY. But everyone keeps getting rocked by those fire breathing monsters.

I honestly couldn't tell you my opinions, because I never got there. I almost did while doing a duo run, but then the server got disconnected.

And then I hear of new relics mission in Neudaiz.. Sounds like something I'm going to go straight in for, once "maintenance" is over. Silhou, want to join? =)

A force without a bow is doomed to suffer on that boss.

Why aren't more forces carrying ground bows? Even the C-ranks do a solid 100 damage per shot and newman forces have good accuracy!

parum got an extra mission and new boss 2. I'm sure it want lose all of it's farmers.

I'm sure someone has already said this, BUT just to restate the facts so its clear.... Dimmagouge = Onmagouge *cries* i was kind of hoping that Sega would be a bit more creative than that, but then again i cant complain because Onmagouge was a cool fight thus this one is equally as cool

Not playing Moatoob much but I tried it. It would be better if the game ran at an acceptable frame rate instead of slowing down when anything attacks. I can't imagine what its like for people running things worse than my X1800. All in all Moatoob is very annoying, I think I will stick to Parum or Neudaiz for now.

Schubalts
Nov 17, 2006, 06:18 PM
What's a De Ragan?

PMB960
Nov 17, 2006, 06:20 PM
I don't think its worth it for the way the game plays. On an X1800 I should be seeing any slow down but everytime a monster attacks the game practically stops. I will stick with Parum or Neudaiz.

Schubalts
Nov 17, 2006, 06:23 PM
Slowdown is probably from the constant duststorms on Moatoob, or maybe from a problem with the patch. A few people are having slowdown problems everywhere now.

Really, a clone in a PSO/U game, not like you shouldn't have seen it coming. He's like the Barba Ray of PSU. Can't wait till players see De Ragnus & the second robot.

Neith
Nov 17, 2006, 07:38 PM
Although most RPGs are like this, and have multiple reskins of basic mobs, I thought we'd have more variety in bosses for now.

Even for ST, the originality in PSU is shocking. To see another example of what I mean:
- The GUARDIANS Information Desk woman on Guardian Colony is called Mina. On Moatoob, the woman with the same job is called Mana. Hopefully there's a few more bosses/enemies that are a little different.

Give a mission with more Grinna Betes too, and not Grinna Bete C >_>

foamcup
Nov 18, 2006, 12:28 AM
It's just a reskin of Onmagoug. I quit the mission as soon as I saw it, and most everyone else on the team did likewise. I don't care what kinda rares it drops, it's not worth the hassle of fighting it. You suck Sega. I like that Endrum Remnants a lot, so the update wasn't a total failure. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Done right could have taken you 2-4 minutes to kill. Gives you more meseta then Onmagoug. THe biggest difference is it flies 90% of the time and lands for a few seconds.

Basically gun him down and everyone knocks the stuffing out of him on the floor.

VanHalen

Best mission of all the new missions. Gets pretty tedious though on B rank and A rank.

I liked him. Nice variant of the omna. I had a Hunter an a Force clear the stage to him then I just shot his wings till he fell and then SUV'd his bum for my Fatality.

The Jello and Tornado combo he does is a nice touch. He did it like 10 times in the 5 minutes it took to kill him. At least he doesn't throw the those rocks of insta death like his cousin. Or wait does he? I might have killed him to fast to see it.

I'm sad to say I died once on the bastard.

Can't say I didn't help though, all I was doing thought the battle was running around like mad healing every person who got stunned or hit by the fucking hurricane attack.

Lol I never picture getting BOTH boulder attacks chucked at me at the same time.

lmao, I got a merged topic. Arieta, you go through Parum's De Ragan and use the crystal (finally) after beating him. Once in the next lobby you do the next mission "The Mad Beasts". The lobby after that one contains the Endrum stage.
