I recently had server maintenance hit after re-installing the game....during the patch process....70% through 1300mb+ of patches!!!!!!!!

Why so huge!!!! I expect a couple of locked, and hidden planets!

Nothing with (mb) behind it is considred huge. At least not in my computer. >_>

How about something with gb behind it, Jai? Also consider, that this is something to be downloaded, not something simply stored. When talking about thousands of megabytes, that becomes a large package to download.

I have to admit, the patches have been absurd. Hopefully the next batch of install discs will have those patches included.

Also, Rageking, are you sure that was 1,300MB, or was it 130MB? Two zeros, or one zero? When I installed early on, it was only 130MB.

The loss definitly shows on my HD space information. Looks like FFXI has to hit the door ^_^.

Bad math.. help me here.

I rememeber it as 1.2 million kilobytes.

1,024kb = 1mb
1,024mb(?) = 1 gig.

This should help better >_>. I had 11GB before I installed the game. I have 9.97 now, exclude 2 mp3s that I dled 2 days ago(2mb total).

How about filling 960GB of Hard Drive space... >.>

Nope. Atleast for the primary drive you can never have enough. This my second computer and I'm on my second slave drive cause I can't save big apps to the primary. And you know..replacing primary drives with new ones is a pain.

Severs are down for maintenance: http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=127180&forum=20&156.

You won't be able to patch until they are back

5 terabytes of porn is easy to get. Now issues is a friend of mine that sat down and d/l'ed every episode of dragonball, dragonball Z, dragonball GT, along with every movie made from those series on a 28.8K dialup connection...

Huge patch? Do you guys mean this newest patch, or the first patch? First patch was about 150MB for me, latest patch was under 5MB. O.o

I think you miss read the patch screen. The initial patch I had when installing the game was 140MB, and as this is just unlocking and updating content already on your HD, I would guess that the patch is actually 130MB, not 1.3 GB.

No game could ever release a 1.3GB patch, it would take days for people to download it if they could at all.

Bah, I got the Vanadiel Collection for FFXI, which had every update up to the time it came out included. Still had to leave the computer on all night to download the few gigs of patches! When I quit, the folder was almost 10 gigs! SE cares not for download times http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

FFXI is 7.62GB in size with all expansions. PSU is 5.16GB including the recent update this morning.

We could if Sony had continued the PS2's HDD!
