ok i was looking around for some videos and i found a new psu video. At first i thouth it was just an old video of psu but then i seen some stofe that i never seen before in the video. It showed some really awesome stofe that you all would love to see.

To me this looks like it could be possibly an older opening or something. I dunno, definately some different things but for some reason it looks older to me. I'm not too sure. What do the rest of you guys think?

EDIT: Thanks alot for pointing that out Xev, and I thought Ethan looked weird in it... Cool vid though, first time for me seeing it. Check the date the vid was posted on there too, that'll give an indication of how old the vid is too on Youtube.

Haha... that is the original trailer for psu... Back from E3 of ages past. They just re-cut the video and threw some gameplay in with some different music...

Also, notice it says "Phantasy Star Universe (online 2)" As in... it's PSO 2, not PSU 2... Get it?

Interesting. They changed a lot. Notably, Ethan's hair, the general art style, and the removal of the red cast and blue cast... unless those are outdated versions of Magashi and Lou, but if so, this brings the question, why would Lou have a cinematic that actiony?

thats not ethan if you carefully look at the armor (photon on the shoulders) you can clearly see its differently shaped from ethans. I think this video displayed online and offline characters and their similarities

well it those say that the video was made back in 2005 which i just found out by the way and i know it does look kinda new but the fact is that its old and every one seems to think so.

and thats it its just an old video that looks new...

Some parts of this video exist in the chapter intro , the part where the beast nanoblasts and is fighting the female CAST. Like someone said earlier I think the video basis was CG reprenstation of network mode.

Maybe there is PvP in the game? <_>

Hah, I remember this from way back in the day, I was so totally hyped for the game back then and that was like 2 years ago. At E3 I think. :

If you look at the gameplay of in that footage, you will notice that alot of the weapons animations changed ...and the enemies as well.
To be more specifc, look at the saber, claw, and claymore animations. And if you look, the orcs on Moatoob are on Parum and that dragon seems to be the one from that one boss in agetec relics place offline.
Anyway, this is good to look back on.

its a shame they took out that cast chick she's a contender for maya and karen/mirei even lou for the loli lovers. i would love to see an old game script from those days back before the crucifiction (nod to beeb), it looks a much more complex plot, sorta like its set in the war before the peace of ghural and 'you' as eathan/jesus unite the peoples of ghural ooooohhhhh maybe that was ethans dad!!?? but no sign of nav boo....

sorry just thought i would stir up some net rumors hehehe

Well, I think a lot of the backlash is because PSU just came out... to have a sequel to an MMORPG you just released already in the works and advanced enough for gameplay exerpts would mean that in about 6 months you're going to screw your existing player base by forcing obsolesence on a game they only just got. It IS pretty hard to believe any company would...

... Oh. Right. Sega.

Anyone remember the Sega Saturn? Yeah.

Seriously though, I don't think we'll be seeing a PSU 2 for a LONG time. Expansion packs yes, possibly even a PS3 or Wii version, but even the obsessive compulsive engineers at Sega can't justify completely remaking an MMORPG so soon after its release.

omg its the phantasy star universe thats already out. if you look it asks if its the next phantasy star ONLINE. the gameplay is exactly the same and its the same commercial as the new one.
