I'm concerned with this, it's quite amazing the speed at which players lvl up... This means that they'll have a higher lvl cap than 100 for sure, but to what extent? Will they add another planet (SEED plant????)? Will the cap become 999 in the end? What do you think?

Yo, what do you think? Really? It's crucila to see at what legnth people think the game should last.

If they keep adding decent content for the so called 7 year plan or w.e, then I would figure around level 500, nice round number. If its only to level 100 this game wont last long just due to the fact everyone is going to be 100 probably a couple months after the cap for it is released. Hopefully they will add some insanely difficult missions. Perhaps SS or SSS missions. Or just plain "Advanced S" missions.

I actually don't think that it will go past 100. Enemy levels in A rank go up to around 60 and i couldn't see S going a whole lot higher, porbabaly close to but under 100. Offline mode having a lvl 100 cap pretty much assures that for me though. Unless they are gonna come out with SS rank, but considering i haven't seen anything past S used in the rest of the game i would assume S is the last. For now i say 100 but I think in an expansion they will extend it to 200, just like pso.

I don't give a shit. Just so you know. You'll play till max, then continue playing. PSO's max level was out for how long? Look how long you guys played that?

No ones going to keep playing for a 2 years if they arent adding any content and everyone is level 100. Most people will be selling there items and selling the meseta on ebay by then.

Some MMORGPs (I know PSU isn't a true MMORPG) don't increase level caps. It's rare, but they don't suffer a huge loss in population. I think SEGA will use rares and new missions as content, instead of increasingly high level caps. (Could you imagine trying to get from 499-500? It probably would take nearly a month, assuming the xp gained per kill doesn't increase by a whole lot.)

Everyone is free to disagree with me of course. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Edit: Other MMORPGs tend to create new character classes that you can play, making people level up several different characters. PSU is like FFXI in the sense that they both allow you to switch between classes, however, some people will remake characters to take advantage of the classes strengths.

I.E. Some people would expect that a cast hunter who gets tired of hunter-type jobs and wants to try a force may create a race more suitable for force-type classes.

Well the offline level cap is 100 right? It doesnt seem to hard to actually get to 100 once we have all the available content. and yeah going from 499 to 500 would be a damn EPIC event that would call for some sort of BBQ or celebration.

I hope they make it harder to get from 70-100, its nice seeing some high level ass uber people instead of seeing a buncha high level asses. Oh and there has got to be some type of reward for achieving that level lol. Like a damn halo of light around your character.

I agree, I hope that 70-100 will be a bit harder to come by. (But I know once I get there I'll regret saying this http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif) Until then though all guesses, opinions, and would-be facts can be called speculation. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I'd personally like 200 or 250, and if they add the SEED planet (sure hope they do) then it'll be nice. Remember that the story continues, it's not finished yet.

I hope 100 is max lvl..... Most mmos the last 10 levels are harder to obtain then all the previous levels combined. But I voted for 200 because it probably will be. Lots of people hit max level and keep playing....I don't know where this "Noone will play after they hit 100" talk is coming from...How many people here have maxed out a char in any online game and kept going?

I hope they make a few missions where you have to be max level just to play it.

My guess is that we'll cap at 100 for PSU and jump to 200 by the end of the next expansion much likePSO and PSO Ver. 1&2

Uhhh you sure about that? 180-200 can easily take months. 1 million TNL's and all. Oh God I hope the max is 100, cause 200 would be impossible to reach in PSU.

That's the whole point of it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif the challenge.

Leveling takes way longer in PSU than it did in PSO. I'm perfectly content with the cap at either 100, 150 or 200.

Guild Wars level cap: 20
Time it took you to get there: 10-15 hours

I really doubt that people will stop playing if the level cap is at say, 100. Theres always the option to make a new character, especially since one character can't do everything.

I like the idea of whoever said of adding SS/SSS rank missions. Don't know how it will play tho.

Over 200 woohoo! Stop adding lvs when it takes a year to lv up! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif
I will keep playing even if i hit the cap, it'd just be nice to see the flash and music every so often though when 100+...

*level up* huh what the heck was that?! I lv'd, that's impossible!

I don't care what the limit is as long as it takes forever to reach, then i be happy.

if you think that max lvl will deff be higher then 100 YOUR WRONG! they cant and wont (cause sega is lazy like that) add new lvls and new quests just to help you lvl. im guessing that max lvl will be lvl 100 and it will take you like 2 years to hit that lvl just like on dream cast pso . and i also think that the higest lvl with the higest monster lvl will end at lvl 90 or somethin and we will have to do that same lvl over and over untill you hate this game. thats what i have to say.

PS. dont reply or quote me because i dont read topics after i reply to them so dont bother.

Unless they come up with really really hard S missions so that even lv150+ will have a hard time, cap lvs over lv100 is not a good idea IMO.

Can you say Nightmare mode?
Seriously, people were leveling to 200 in PSO...
I don't get where these guys come off saying Sega wouldn't go that far.

I think it will be 70, 80, 90 or 100... It won't feel like Srank if it gets to easy.. lol SSrank... everything kills in 1 hit.. if you get hit you lose all your dolls since you die when you get raised.

I'd personally enjoy fighting on the SEED planet and seeing really high level missions with the S class missions like 120+ or something like that. I can see the cap increasing to 150 or 200 just like PSO. We've only received one update so far. It's hard to say what the game will bring in years to come at this point.

I voted "have no clue" simply because at this rate, 100 could make an acceptable cap. However, if they add SS rank missions, then that'd a different story. I can see 200 being the level cap in the future with the addition of SS rank missions and possibly a new planet.

I think 150 is a nice median between 100 and 200.

dude, sorry but if you beat the story mode, then you would know that there is no SEED planet (and if you call that a spoiler then I don't know what isn't one.)

I hope they go to 200 also. Or at least 150. SS and SSS missions seems reasonable. Maybe even visit Ragol, and fight some of the old bosses.

I'm pretty sure this game will be Lv100, lets leave it at that. There's not enough that can be 'new things' that could be fit into this game for 200.

When they release a true expansion like PSO Ep1&2, then I could see it being 200.

Lv999!?!?!? Goodbye life!

It takes around 1000 hours of solid leveling to get to lv200 (on PSO anyway), and if the curve at which the experience difference between each level increases exponentially (like it does in PSO), to get to 999 would take... pffff into 10,000 hours plus!

Unless at some level, they stop increasing the exp difference between levels... I remember it used to take a week per level at Lv120+

I think it all depends on how popular this game remains and how many folks are sitting around on the level cap...

We must remember that while the level cap offline was only 100, there wasn't any point in it being set any higher - after all the most difficult area (the hive) can be successfully passed between levels 50-60. We know that there will be much more content released online that may warrant the eventual level cap to be raised to 200, but it's very possible as long as the game remains profitable and popular it could get way higher as time goes on.

It all hangs on how many new areas are produced during the lifespan of this game.

It already takes forever to lv up in PSU, 200 is too much. Lets say 100 and stick with it.
