While with Zanmato, me and a few others came across someone with a particular feature about him. His name was in light blue, and he was claiming to be a GM. Lvl 16 FOnewm, and he wasn't really "proper" in his words (talked like a newbie at first). Here's some screens. You can see his name.

Ha, I've seen a guy by the name of LoPan but he didn't have a blue name when I did. he was just normal so at the time I didn't think anything of it. Believe me, if it was blue, I would have noticed and talked about it. It is very possible though that there are multiple characters named "LoPan". ;P

Yeah there are. I've seen the normal LoPan too. I see this being a problem sorta,People can pick GM names and just be like, oh I turned off the blue name so I could walk around without being disturbed.

And on a side note, those are the ugliest GM's EVAR, but its really good to see them finnaly moving about.

I don't see this being a problem as anyone with common sense should know if it isn't blue, it isn't a GM, no matter what they say. Even if for arguments sake, they did turn off the blue for a bit, don't trust a GM without a blue name, for anything. Anyone without the common sense to realize this...who cares. I'm all for manditory IQ testing before people are allowed to pursue the same passtimes as me. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Seriously, this would be like the freaking stories you see on the news at least once a week, where they always say 'No matter how official these emails look, don't respond to them with your personal information. Official (company name) employees will never ask for your user name and password.' and then they show some guy holding a huge invoice for someone bought a jetski with his credit card 'Well, the email just looked so real, it had a paypal logo and everything!'

...These people deserve what they get for being stupid. Maybe if they're trainable, they'll learn not to be dumb.

I have empathy. I have little patience for blatant ignorance, with no excuse for it. On a side note, I also believe people should be forced to take an IQ test before being allowed to vote. Under a 120, no vote for you. If you can't actually comprehend the issues at hand, not just watch campaign commercials, then you have no right deciding the future.

Ignorance is a majority. Why should a minority be allowed monopoly on the vote? It'd defeat the purpose of democracy.

Depressing, but true.

So does an electoral college, and similar systems put in place on all levels of democracy. Throughout history, in general, mankind has known that the majority was not fit to rule. Only in fairly recent history does this change. Everyone has something to offer, a need to fill (or so I hope), but not everyone's need to fill is the rulting caste.

uh, i don't want to get too far off-topic from the original post, but instead of saying that everyone who doesn't agree with your point of view is ignorant maybe you should focus on why limiting voter eligibility based on IQ is wrong. Its just slightly Fascist to take someone else's rights away because they have a trait you don't deem sufficient. Its like taking away someone's right to Vote because of appearance or popularity.

Ok, last off topic post here, I swear. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif I'm not saying someone who doesn't agree with me is ignorant. Disagree with me if you want. I respect that. I respect you for not agreeing and sticking to your guns, however, be able to back it up, like you are, because you are able to comprehend and have taken the time to form an opinion. When you cast a vote, vote for something you know about (since it's not changing to an intelligent only system anytime soon:)), don't answer with '...because.' when someone asks why you feel strongly enough about an issue to vote for it, or worse yet, don't care at all, and just voted because it's your 'right'. The only saving grace is, not the majority, but quite a few of those who aren't fit to vote, are also just too lazy to register to vote. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

The electoral college example is, as stated before, a depressing truth.

But, still. Any one group that asserts a superiority trait (be it not-jewishness, intelligence, or any other specific trait) tends to asymptotically approach dictatorship, and history shows this nearly always leads to failure.

In America, intelligence is not viewed as an acquired trait by most, and as such is considered off-limits as criterion for nearly anything outside of the most cutthroat of business ventures. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

He is a GM, before making posts like this jumping to possible conclusions one might want to go look at the official PSU boards for announcements and such.

Also his "noobish" talk might be simply that he has poor english IE from japans side of the dev/GM team.

This question came up because the OP saw, and asked here well before the 'check check, gms in universe 1' action. Was a valid question at the time, although in retrospect...well, hindsight is 20/20.
