Ugghhh. VERSUS BOOKS...what happened to you? This is a ppor excuse for a guide. Basically it is the DC guide with 10 new pages...all the same typos and no updated weapon pics.Ok they show you how to get the 4th Evolution mags in a tiny section on page 171. You can find that info on Gamefaqs as well though. Dont waste your $14.99.

I have been using the guide for the dc for the offline quests and been going to different sites on the web to get info on all the new stuff.

I was thinking about getting the new guide if one was coming out, but now I don't think I need to from the description you gave.

I've ordered the guide, but have yet to see it come in, the gamestop.com site says that it keeps being pushed back, right now it's release date is 11/28...

I wish there was a guide with just the maps. I usually buy guides for RPGs just so that I don't have to hump every corner of the stage for right door nor end up getting lost trying to find an exit.... this is sad news indeed. i was disapointed with the first guide when it came to rare weapons and such, everything else was great.
Versus was always my fave publishers ever since Resident evil 2 and FF7 guides (the cover art for ff7 was reason alone to buy it)
why they got lazy on PSO is beyond me....lazy $h!+$

werent there different guides from different... publishers?
if not... what do i have internet for? - made a pso-guide just for myself out of different guides and this forum.
and am collection for a ep.1&2-guide allready.

At least it wasn't a Prima guide.. Versus can be pretty bad but I've never had a Prima guide I liked at all, but then I always find myself wishing they would write a guide AFTER the game is out instead of making it inaccurate just to put the !@#$ thing out on store shelves the same time as the game.

I've found that Brady Games makes the best strategy guides. Their guides for Diablo II and Final Fantasy X were simply outstanding. And *FAT*, too - they make you feel like you're getting your money's worth.

Having said that, I must admit I don't purchase strategy guides very often - and almost never for the walkthroughs, only for the tables and lists of items, spells, etc. etc. You know, a quick reference guide which doesn't require me to go online.
