Anyone play the offline multiplayer version for the GameCube? For some reason when the screen is split I can't see stats on any items. Is this how the multiplayer offline works or do I have to "turn it on" in some options menu.

Just hit X and the stats page pops up. You can also hit X to make stats appear in the quick weapon select menu (R+Y).

Hamo's got it right. X button should solve your problems.

Before I got my modem adapter, I used to play a LOT of multiplayer offline. Just press the X button when the item is highlighted and the usual stats window will pop up.

It does work in offline multi-player. Normal, C-mode, and BA alike. It works in all the typical menus where you can get information. And it works with the Shortcut menu in ALL modes of play, online and off.
