The schedule says servers is supposed to be up at 2:00 pm PST and they're running late..You think this maintenance is worth it?..and is this what we can expect from ST?

"There will be updated information about this maintenance once we have official clearance to post."

Doubt it. 360 gets expert classes while PC/PS2 doesn't?

No way, the amount of complaint threads from the PC/PS2 crowd will be through the roof.

You can all see it for yourselves on the page, but, in any case:

The Xbox 360 Servers should be up within the hour. All users will download a small patch before reaching the online servers. This patch has a few changes to our server program, as well as the client program. Please review the client patch notes below:

* Modified client progam to allow for more viewable characters in lobby areas. Players should now be able to see far more players when in all of the major hub areas.

* The 'Retry' option should now function normally. This option will occasionally appear during the login process if an error occurs. Users are no longer required to disconnect to retry from the main menu.

* Fixed a hard lock/extended load time issue occuring at the My Room level when users applied new decorations. Remodel tickets may not function if users are present at the time of use. Please keep this in mind.

* Fixed and issue that prevented healing players when their avatars were grounded from a knockdown attack.

* Updated Voice Chat program to address party chat issues. Users should no longer experience issues with this functionality.Modifying voice chat problem which some users in the party can not communicate.

Thanks everyone for your patience while this maintenance was performed. We look forward to seeing you all online very soon!

So? Greedy aren't we? Just be patient with the updates. The world isn't going to end if there is no expert classes tonight.

And FYI, they do all systems every Thursday.

They fixed (I hope) a crap load of crap! And I mean that in the best possible way. We even get to see more people now...not that that was ever a problem...

Yes, very informative. I came to boards to see what was included in this update and I found right here in this thread. It's good to have a little downtime, gives me some time to catch up on single player.

I rebooted my 360 thinking that that'd make me download something and it didn't work. I still logged right back on without downloading a thing. this is weird.

I had the same problem with not recieving the update. Someone on the official boards recommended that I go into my Xbox's settings and switch it to boot straight to the Disc and not the Dashboard. Sure enough once I did this I was able to download the update.

Hmm, I'll try that, because I didn't get an update either.

Edit: That didn't work either.

If you are having trouble, please try rebooting the console a few more times until update is prompted. I do not think it is a specific console configuration that is causing the issue, it is far more likely that the download servers for the patch are swamped with the initial opening. Give it some time and a reboot or two more.

I guess that it was pure coincidence that it worked for me when I changed the settings. Just keep trying at it.

I was playing the game, and now the game just booted me off and gave me the option to update. w00t.

Undocumented Fix: The game now adds to your Xbox Guide's recent players list. Anyone who's currently in or joins your party will now be listed there, allowing you to look at their profile, submit a player review, file a complaint through Xbox Live, etc.

I downloaded the patch, and I still can't get the retry button to work. Maybe it's just me...not too big a deal I guess. Lived with it this long.

The Retry button is not fixed, and the number of peope (as opposed to generic outlines) you can seen in lobbys are still the same. Voice Chat has improved significantly though.
