Why is there so much slow down?

I have been really busy and haven't played much since the patch, but I am playing some parum missions now and everything is so slow compared to before the patch, did something happen? And there is no way it can be my computer.

EDIT: Ok I played through a mission and I only got slow down in a few places, but still before the patch I never had slowdown at all.

i think they increased the draw distance or something, try going into options and putting down the draw distance for people and objects, there is a slider

Perhaps it is simply an aftershock of the changes that will be adjusted over time.

Switch textures from normal to compressed, in the custom graphic options. It gave me a couple extra seconds of load time, but all the missions run perfectly now.
