I've just discovered from the official forums that the monthly charge in Europe for PSU is £6.99. People in the US are charged $9.99 - so let's compare prices:

Currency Convertor (http://www.xe.com/ucc/)

$9.99 = £5.22 - we're paying £1.77 more
£6.99 = $13.29 - US pays $3.39 less

So Europe has to pay 30% more than the US?

I would blame the fluncuation of how currency changes over time. Sega would need to adjust then or else people will feel like that.

Remember, Europe has some sort of tax for these things. I think it's called like VULA or something like that.

Never heard of it, although that could possibly be the reason why Euro players were actively prevented from signing up until a new price could be set which covers that...

Yes, Europe is being ripped off...

By their entire consumer economies.

Can't really blame Sega for cashing in. Everyone charges more in Europe.

Companies are also charged high import taxes on electronic stuff in Europe so that could be another reason.
