Time of day

I searched and didn't find anything, but then again I'm horrible with the search function.

I'm not entirely sure of this, but it seems that the time of day inside in-game missions has changed for me. I was playing the same mission earlier and the sky was blue with white clouds (about 4pm EST) and now its orange/dusklike with orange and purple clouds, as if the sun were setting. I'm sure this is already a known feature and I just hadn't heard about it, though.

Also, does this run off computer clock? (I'm offline, extra mode)

Does this affect any gameplay or any drops?

I don't think anyone has absolute answer for your theory. In any case we don't want that to cause dissapointment.

Online the weather/time tends to be the same for me.

I hate bumping topics, its a stupid thing to do in forums.. but I hate no responses even more. I'm guessing its just me, then, but I also sometimes get night versions of missions which I believe are usually daytime..

It's likely that you play the second mission within the same area as the first. For example, Mad Creatures & Plain Overlord look like in the morning to early afternoon. But after Deragan, it's late afternoon where the sky is not blue anymore; it's orange. So the mission after it, Mad Beasts, tells it's not morning anymore.
