Does your daily luck level affect things like grinding and synthesizing? If so, then it would be a good idea to hold off on grinding until I see sparkles by my name huh.

No to Synthesis, but yes to Grinding.

Grinding on a day without level 3 luck is tantamount to selling your weapon to an NPC, with the difference being you get money from the NPC.
