View Full Version : Monomates are EVIL

So today in a run in Neudaiz, I beleive. I got pummeled to death and couldn't get to cast my resta in time so I used a monomate and what happens? I didn't heal me! O_o

Grr, this is frustrating and my mates are going down the drain because they don't heal anymore. -_-

Supposedly, they fixed that.

...guess not.

Maybe they didn't fix it on the 360; who knows?

I don't know, but they better fix it soon. >.<

That, son, is called lag. When a computer and a server love eachother very much, the computer sends packets to the server to activate it's love glands, in return the server does the same with it's own, feminine packets, sometimes during this session of digital love, the packets start to hump eachother on the way back to either the server or the computer, and may take slightly longer to reach one or the other. And that's where internets come from.

Yuh, I heard it while chatting at the pub. I guess they fixed some slowdown, let you see more people at one time, and fixed the healing problem.

This may be the problem:
Alright, you get hit. You use a mate. It works.

Next time, you get knocked over. You use a mate. You hear the sound, the count goes down, but no HP.

Whaa!?! For some reason, you can't heal on the ground.

I thought they'd fixed that, for both mates and resta.

I never found it to be a glitch at all. I mean, think about it. If you get knocked down, you can't activate a Mate while in the process of falling, hitting the ground, or getting back up. Try eating a candy bar while falling, hitting the ground, and getting back up. It's logical, isn't it?

It's much easier to eat a candy while swinging a 6 foot sword with both your hands.

I've had the problem that you've experienced MayLee, but it didn't get me killed. And, yeah, you can heal while knocked down on the ground.

I was nkocked down on the lowest of yellow. I activated a mate, it didn't heal me and died by getting smacked while getting up.

Chalk it up to lag, then. =

I thought that whole maintence thing on Wednesday was to fix that.....well for the 360 i think not to sure about the PC/PS2, and if it was fixed then you mostly just lagged there....<.<

Monomates suck, they're a waste of one slot in my inventory. I don't think +150 isgoing to save you from dying on A missions

Then they shouldnt let you even use the monomate...Not let you try it then they steal your mate >.>

its realistic that you cant do much after you get your ass pummeled enough to fall down, i like it that way and second the whole play around it thing
my advice: run away very fast, or move around a lot as not to get hit that often or hard

You do realise that you're talking about realism in a game based in space with light sabers and furrys?

Yeah.

To everyone saying "it's lag"... it still takes your mate, so...

But I've learned to cope with it, I'm sure you will, too.

The monomate heals. It just has so lil HP that it's barely noticble.

heh, thats all fun and games but whats worse is the clipping glitch. A Bil de Vear did the belly-flop move on me and a friend and it pushed me into a wall. Sticking half way into the way I was frozen. Here is the best part I couldn't use my action pallet. The Bil de Vear proceeded to do its spinny move killing me. So far PSU is going the way of Windows operating systems: decent but with a lot of glitches and let-downs.

It's not just a 360 thing, happens on PC and PS2 also.

I've never had a problem with casting "rolling resta" (or in many cases, flying). Monomates are a hunter's excuse to not invite a force to a party, and we resent that.

I think Yoruichi's point is that, you're level 19, so, Sexy_Raine saying that she doesn't think 150 from a monomate will save your life, when, infact, you being lvl 19, it most assuredly will.

Sorry. I didn't know what lv the topic creator was. I assumed that person was at a high lv. Monomates will only be helpful until a certain point.

It's just your nanobadge thingie on your back malfunctioned, so your mate didn't fly glomp in your mouth, it simply fell down to the ground.

i actually still used mono's at 48, just in rapid succession, normally it was either solo (3 at a time atleast) or in groups giving healer time to heal...or not .
