I'm at the point with my Force, where Aside from some awesome weapons that I May or May Not ever see or get to use, what things do us Forces have to look forward to? I mean, we can't use Skills obviously and The spells seem cool and everything at first (until you use them to death).... So are Forces getting anything really awesome at some point? I suppose I could always change my class when the advanced ones become available.

There are 36 techs, only 10 are online right now. Nothing to look forward to at all

You can level up techs so they look spiffier. That isn't enough?

Well there are much cooler and better spells to be had when we finaly get them.

But even now the JP just got the buffs/debuffs and dont have alot of the spells.

Not sure why they are doing this to us, forces are severly gimped without there spells, its like taking PA's away from hunters. Not to mention the later we get the spells, the harder and harder it will become to actually use them since lvl 70 S rank missions and lvl 1 spells wont work too well.

Its going to force, the forces to play lower lvl stuff and grind spells like crazy to lvl them, or use them in the high lvl missions and kill the groups efficantcy and dps.

You can get to lv 30 techs.....or go wartecher or guntecher and tango with PAs and Bullets. Whether we're getting new Techs in the next update though, is still up in the air.

If the next update follows the JP version, we'll get gifoie, gibarta, gizonde, and gidiga

buffs/debuffs is what I'm REALLY looking foward to http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif But basically the reason I asked to begin with is I'm level 35 Force with ALL my spells level 20 (since I cannot advance higher at this point) and Yeah, I'm basically living off Diga to survive A rank levels at this point, with the support of my Awesome PM (Muah!, couldn't do it without ya)....although she IS a bit of a Retard when it comes to the Dragon, LOL!

....Your supposed to STOP touching something if it's hot, Yes?!

I did a Dragon A run the other day, besides the copernia that droped the xp and meseta was not very good :/

I think Relic Cs are the way to go, also its a good place to lvl spells like barta when you have 6+ green lizards dashing at you in a big group.

Not to mention I hate the "bull" type enemies like the koltovo's they dont group up much and love to dash away from spells.

I'm still confused about Darkness spells though. Do they poison or cause instant death? Both would be a bit... crazy.

Megrid is insta-death.
Always has been, always will be.

Ra- is a damage spell with confuse.
Damu- is another damage spell with infection.
No clue about nosu, I think it's the one that saps HP from enemies.. err or not... that's another spell.
No clue what Nosu does aside from follow and damage.

where the fck you got your info from Gazette...you are way off. Each element tech has it's own status effect for one. Megid isn't always insta-death, it can also do base damage. Ra's are splash damage spells, Damu's are spray style spells (aka think flamethrower), and Nosu's are tracking spells.

I've been hit by Megid like 15 times, only 1 death. Sure is insta-death. -_-;

ViciousXUSMC
Nov 28, 2006, 02:23 AM
dark contains diffrent status effects.

megid for example is a instant death spell, another spell may contain deisese.

Nosu spells are the ones that track enemies and detonate when you let go of the button
Damu spells are the ones that are like a dragons breath, they go in a cone infront of you and drain PP for as long as you hold the button. As far as I know concerning the status effects Damumegid can cause the desise effect. (spelling)

Gi spells are area of effect spells with you as the center, hit up to 6 targets, what we are to get next patch are the 4 main elements Gi spells, wich leaves us with no dark/light spells still, and no debuffs/buffs.

I said that, if you read the edit, I elaborated on the other forms.
Comon now.

you said with confuse and infection. and you left your megid line..correct your correction

Note: her wording is the root tech name NOT the exact spell. And she was wrong from the start.

Eff it, edited the whole post.

OOOOKAY... I left the word megrid out, I'll give you that.
It was implied, but seeing as how others got it, I don't think it was that unclear.
Also I don't see how I was wrong in my original post considering I said Megrid was always an insta-death spell.

I didn't say a word about any other type of megrid.

Also I'm a he...

Fortetechers look forward to a level 30 Photon Art exclusivity (something neither of the other Forte classes offer) and are one of the two expert types in the game to get their own weapon (Rods, which is a real doozy and furthers their massive advantage over War/Gun techers).

'course this isn't directly answering the question of what techs are available and how good they are. But it does answer the more literal question of what Forces get going for them in the future.

I wonder about nosumegid the foruma for its dmg... I am very good at not getting hit http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif if its like one of those forumlas where the diffrence of your current and max hp = dmg http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

hellow 800+ dmg seeking balls of death http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

also I hear nosu has issues with tracking anything that flys, or hoovers....

so that means the temple boss for instance. no nosuzonde there :/

cant wait to see what temple is like with gi-zonde 21+ http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

but my god thats gonna take a long time to lvl up I dont even have razonde lvl 20 yet.

Kurushii
Nov 28, 2006, 05:26 AM
ya but also factor you'll be in the middle of the explosions when they break if you are using gi's in the center.

ViciousXUSMC
Nov 28, 2006, 05:29 AM
tis true http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif atleast get 1 or 2 in for the dps and tagging then back off.

plus if you were up for solo C runs for cash it would expidite the process alot.

thats more than likley how I will lvl the spell.

I am tempted to say screw online mode and go play extra mode so I can have all my spells :/ alot of those megid spells look cool as heck, and finaly I can use the spell that my enemy is weak too (relics enemies) instead of just compromising with diga for everything.

What do forces have to look forward to?

1) More tech lvling.
2) Like all other classes decking out new weapons and armor.

In breif that's about it, personally i see nothing wrong with this i'm finally getting around to lvling basic techs sense resta, reverser and all my ra-techs are maxed out ^_^;;;. So aside from basic techs i wouldn't mind having more spells to play with xD. Plus cards i'm anxious to see how those go *insert card rant here*.

I need my Dark spells T_T

I'm curious how fast HP Steal increases in levels (how many tech skill levels needed before the status effect level raises).

nosuzonde BEST SPELL EVAR! and NosDiga SECOND BEST SPELL EVAR!

That is true, 351% on a Level 1 spell plus an added bonus based on hp levels...that's insane amounts of damage. ^_^

LOL at those who dont think Forces can dish out decent damage....wait till they see disease throwing Necromancer wantabees ^v^

I think those tech numbers are for offline mode. Which would make them vastly more powerful than their online counterparts. Since offline mode is a total mash-fest.

the damage done with the level one spells in the video is very close to what i saw my friend doing when he first started his FOmar.

So just curious for my own future forteching planning sake since i play to master bullet techs for bow and possible cards. Excactly how many spell techs are currently online on the JP server? I know the cap is PA is 36 which with 8 dedicated to bullets it leaves me 28 Techs to play around with which i think would be plenty right or am I wrong?

Real forces have a lot to look forward to. I can't wait to get my hands on megid. Jellen is going to be very fun too.

Big techs for me? Megiverse, Megistar, Regrants, Giresta, and the elemental buffs.

Though, the nozu spells might be a big damage boost for all Forces (who already have good damage options) everywhere in party play.....I say party play cause you'd want someone who could drag aggro initially to get the most out of your "spray of pain" spells. But yeah, forces have alot to look forward to.

Edit: Question: Does Regrants have a "Status" Level that reduces the damage the caster takes on channeling or is it going to be an actual effect (like sleep)?

Whoops... editing error:

Sadly, I think these are just offline dmg%...
The online damage totals from the JP Wiki are as follows:

Megid: Nothing really recorded save for the insta-kill% rising?

Ra-Megid: 160% at lvl 30 with lvl 3 confusion.

Damu-Megid: 140% at lvl 30 with lvl 2 infection

Nosu is unrecorded, hope someone in the JP PSU can clarify whether or not it has even been released.
