View Full Version : Elemental %s and PM evolutions?

I've begun to notice something. My PM is a GH-450 (synth trend: technic) which has a high striking stat (67) that I use to forge weaponry. I've begun to notice that all the %s I roll are always between 10-25%, but with another Pm that is synth trend: strike like the GH-410, the %s seem to come out much better, like 20-50%. I've tested this over time, too, making tons of 1* weapons and a few higher ones. Can anyone verify if this behavior is a known issue, or am I just getting oddly lucky?

I think I get what you're saying. 450 is a Tech-based PM, meaning that the elements would roll better. However, the chances of making the weapon, are dropped. 410 is a Strike-based PM, and therefore, weapon-making chances are higher, but elemental %'s are dropped.

Is that what you were getting at? If not, then.. ignore me >.>;

No, no. The chances of making a weapon are identical regardless of the PM's form.. it's all absed on the strike stats at about 3.5 points = +1% to synth chance. I'm saying that since it is NOT synth trend: striking descriptor, it seems I can never roll really high elemental %s on my hunter weapon synths.

try making tech weps with your 450, and striking weps with your 410 instead of striking weps for both

Oh I'm not doing this to be inefficient, it's a test to see if Synth Trend actually is meaning something... if rolling for percentages on the finished product is not entirely random from 10-50%, but affected by this also.

As for Technic stuff, there is no % to modify after all. That's determined by what you mount on the rod/wand! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

And since we're all done with that talk..

Want to hang out, or were you busy with your Blacksmithing?

Elemental Percentages are random, regardless of PM or Striking LV. The only thing that affects it is Luck.

Ah, I see. It's all coming clear to me now..
