Christmas Decorations US, Do you think we'll get em?

I really don't even care if we do at this point (seeing as we got jipped on the Halloween ones...oh, and the Fall ones....Oh and....)

So seriously, I have just stopped caring....but I was wondering if anyone had the inside scoop. Besides, I suppose it will be nicer anyways to have a much higher level character to get all that cool stuff (maybe) so hopefully they wont screw everyone next year too.

They couldn't launch the game with Halloween decorations up, especially with the strain on the servers as big as it was. Not to mention the game was fairly hard to find until a week after launch.

We didn't get the fall decorations either because they would've had to be taken down almost immediately anyway.

I see no reason why we wouldn't get Christmas.

And if you think THIS is bad, go play PSOX. We've been stuck in perpetual Christmas for a year now.

I think the big catch is, will the holiday (any holiday) code be in one of the upcoming update packets we will be getting before then. I have to think that yeah it would be included (prolly in the next one). Then it's just a matter of "flipping the on switch".

However, Sega has let us down before on many occasions. This could very easily be something that would fall thru the cracks if they let it.

A shame we missed out on Halloween, though we did sort of get the game right around that time. Christmas? Not sure. I love that quote. It's like a saying that may have been popular in the past years of the American South, but is a super rarity to hear, these days. Kind of a shame, because these days, that quote could be used sooo many times. Still, when it comes to Japanese gaming companies, it seems Japan gets more Western Holiday stuff than the west does.

Now there is about 1 or 2 western futuristic Online RPGs, but I don't know if they have holiday events or not. So I can't base comparisons on that.

Hmm. 5000 as a starting bet before the flop seems kind of steep for me. Maybe 1000 would be better to start with. That way the pot wont get so incredibly high, too fast.

Take a look at the room decoration section in the Item Database. You'll see that most of the major Sonic characters have their own statues. Of those, only the Sonic statue has been released. Even in that case, that was a special pre-registration gift for JP PSU.

I think it is worth remember that even the GMs are a fairly rare sight on PSU. Even on PSO, the only times you saw a legitimate Sonic was during special events on the Japanese servers.

Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 are a joke with the lack of support and quality by EA.

We had to wait over 4 months for a patch that was delayed countless times.
Once it was released it only caused more problems.

Yeah seriously. Looks like this is another foriegn game were US an EU players get shafted. I cant believe they actually have scheduled updates that far ahead, and us players here arent even sure if were going to be getting the next patch today,next week, or the week after that.

I quoted this in a diiferent thread, and my quote was one of many, go check egm psu article and you ll see similar information.

As to the paying for server usage, your paying for whatever they promoted you would be getting at the time of purchase, and they are laible for that, or any costs associated. It really isnt there game to do what they want with, once you sell a service, your obligated to provide what you said you would for that service. that means updates as well as the ability to connect to the server.

Yep.

Sega killed PSU in NA/EU with their own actions. Maybe we should, on some level, feel sympathy for them. Maybe the team given responsibility for PSU in NA/EU is underfunded and undermanned. Maybe they are as angry and disappointed as we are becuase they are not getting the support they need from SOJ. Who knows? All I do know is that PSU is one big cluster **** and I've already cancelled my sub.

That's something, as recently as 6 weeks ago, I NEVER would have pictured myself posting to this board. I thought PSU would be all that and a bag of chips, something I'd be playing and posting about for years.

Instead, I'm happily back to WoW (a game I was only willing to leave for a while for the hope of the next, great PS game). WoW's not perfect, no game is, but they treat us well. Constant updates, smooth artful graphics, lots and lots of things to do, and millions of players to play with. I guess WoW is popular for a reason: they (more often than not) deliver what players want.

Sega seems to be totally out of touch with what non-Japanese players want. I mean, even at launch it wasn't all that popular, now look at the servers.

Sorry, I hate to be so negative. I really do. I wanted to love this game (as much as you can 'love' a game, but you know what I mean). But they just flubbed it all up, those idiots.

I have been playing PSO since the Dreamcast days, and ST has always had my support. I never complained about the shit they pulled, but if they don't give us seasonal events from here on out, my respect for them will go waaaay down and in spite I will cancel my account. Yeah I know who cares if I cancel, but I choose not to give money to a company who neglects their cutomers, it's common business ethics. I will be severely saddened to leave the game, but I think it would be absolutley rediculous to keep putting money towards content that goes to someone else.

Ahh yes. Shenmue. I really want a Shenmue III. Shenmue 1 started off slow, but Shenmue 2 was so awesome. A shame so many people missed out on the 2nd one, thinking it wasn't going to be a lot better than the first.
