I've been having trouble seeing the photons on my weapons since I started playing online. Offline, I can see the photons just fine, but in online mode I can only see, well, that.

I am on the PC version. My friends have told me to update my graphics card or display drivers; I tried updating the display drivers but that did not work, and as far as my graphics card, since I am on a laptop I would have to send it in and have them do it.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? If the specs of my PC are needed, I will provide them.

"Not entirely sure, but I believe that has something to do with post effects? >_> It's on the screen you get to in options when starting up the game. Just click the custom graphics button. Try toggling that on if it is off, and see if it helps.

I was going to say turn the post effects on... but if it's already on, then I have no idea. :hs:

My room mate has a 360, but since the servers are separated that means I would have to start my character all over, which is a no-no.

I have a PS2, but it's at home, and that would mean I would have to not only buy the game again, but a router so I can actually play it. Oh, and let's not forget a keyboard. =(

I would think it has to do with my graphics card, but I'm not sure. I mean, everything else displays fine: the enemies, the environments, the bosses, everything. It's just the photons. I can't even see the photons on enemies, like Delsaban for instance.

It is entirely possible that the online and offline PC clients handle graphics in different ways.

Based on your screenshot, it looks like you are running on low settings. A better graphics card would probably help out.

I suspect you need a better graphics card.

The Online Mode recently had a graphics patch which affected a lot of people. These changes, however, were not made to the offline portion of the game. So, my guess is the new patch being applied to the online portion of the game is having this effect.

If you were really not seeing photons, it would mean that you're blind.
