This is my first post so I would just like to say a big “Hello” to everyone in the community http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
I got PSU on Friday and I’ve only played about 3-4 hours since I got it (not because I don’t like it but I don’t get much time for gaming due to work etc), I bought the game for its online option more then the offline story mode as I’m sure most of you lot will have also done, as a past DC and GC player of PSO I have always loved it online http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif. So far the game seems very fun and interesting to explore, the learning curve does seem to be at a higher level then it was in PSO but its still wasn’t long before I had picked most things up…. I’m still learning though but I guess I never stopped learning when I played PSO. I’m sure most people have noticed lots of differences and compared PSU and PSO but at the moment I would still say I find PSO the better game for online mode, firstly the community seemed more willing to group and make friends, also the way once you joined a game your group would normally stay together and play from forest 1 right through to Dark Falz, now I’m lucky if a group stays together for more then one mission http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif. Another thing that I loved on PSO was mag’s but they seem to have been left out of PSU which in my opinion is a big let down because I loved them little guys! Other then that PSU does bring some cool new things to the table (skills for weapons etc) and I like the room idea… even though it does seem pointless (correct me if I’m wrong). And I like the bigger cities and more planets to visit even though there seems to be less scenery to admire http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif. The character creation is possibly the thing I like the most about PSU its nice to finally have some character individuality even though you do from time to time see someone who looks very similar but it is a big difference from the mass amounts of “clones” from the DC and GC versions. So far I’ve only encounter one boss and I’m sure what sprung to my mind was the same thing that sprung to every other PSO player ever…. Déjà vu… its another bloody dragon, I just hope they have included some more originality with the bosses, even making the dragon a hydra would have been good enough but I am starting to get sick of seeing dragons recycled as the first boss in the PS series…. Anyone else feel the same? Anyway I guess this is all I have to say about PSU so far and I’m sure I will post again when I have played and explored more.
