Why I remember when you had to change a good half dozen jumpers just to reconfigure your system for your fancy new 386 66MHz processors. O WAIT- That was my first system back when I was 6...

Intel 386 66MHz
8MB of RAM, bitchin'!
1MB of dedicated video memory on the ISA graphics card for awesome 2D graphics!
A whopping 40MB harddrive, it'll take years to fill!
And an amazing 1600 baud modem!
All displayed on a beautiful COLOR 14" monitor at 640x480 running Windows 3.1!

It didn't last too long until I got the 486 100MHz to replace it and Windows 95 for added stability and security. It also came with AOL 3.0 on a mini-CD. I even had 14MB of RAM by then along with an amazing PCI video card that could actually sort of render in 3D! By that time though I discovered my father's Apple IIe in the basement and that had some awesome games like Wolfenstein, the first one, from around ten years before Wolfenstein 3D. We even had a television to use as a monitor to get rid of the pain of looking at a green screen.

*drools over the ideas AMD has for it's quad core line*

What was that, Norvekh? I was paying attention.
