Do you have to pay for PSU on PS2? If so, how? Cause I just sold all of my xbox items including the console and I'm trying to find out if I should go PC or go PS2.

Yeah, you sure do have to pay. I would go PS2 if your comp can't run PSU smoothly and/or can't play it with full graphics.

click here (http://playsega.com) to buy a guardians license.

click here (http://phantasystaruniverse.com/support_sysreq.php) to check if the game would run (barely) on your pc.

If the game can only barely run on your PC, PS2 is a better bet.

Well I'm sure it can run on the medium settings. I'm still unclear on how the license can cover for PS2. Is there username sign in for the online on PS2

The login interface is universal for both.

Yes there is a user name and sign in for the PS2. When you boot up the game and click Network mode, it connects to the server, asks you for you playsega user and pw, and then it signs you in. Its as simple as that.

Be VERY VERY CAREFUL about getting PS2; it lags like a mofo.

Do they have pre-paid game cards in the U.S?

Does anyone know if PSU will run on a notebook? I was told that PSOBB didnt work on notebooks and I want to know if the same applies for this. Im at college and they wont allow me to play PS2 online so the only time I can play is when I go home for holidays or long weekends. Id rather spend my 9.99 a month being able to play a lot more and if I can get on my notebook that would be great.

Eh...did you mean for that to be a topic?

No it doesn't. The performance is very comparable to x360, as in not an ounce more or less lag. It looks like ass compared to 360 or computer, but that's another subject. I play on pc and ps2, but usally prefer my ps2.

To the last poster, about if it'll work on a notebook...why wouldn't it, as long as your laptop meets the requirments? I've got PSU on mine, and although it's a little laggy on the laptop, it runs fine.

Thanks, I was about to create a topic too.

I'm sure when he means lag, he means when you can't use your weapon for a couple of seconds upon loading in an area, and the other players are still in blue form. That's "PS2 rendering lag".

About the pre-paid, I don't think so.

Although it's true that it takes longer for the weapons to render and show on screen, on the ps2, I've had no problems with ussing them, o having a delay on using them. They're just invisable for a few seconds, but still do damage. Maybe it's just me...

well my ps2 doesnt run anything like the 360 version, ok there is a little slowdown when you have alot going on on xbox360 but the ps2 does it ALL the time and looks like a dogs butt all the time. 360 FTW

but if ps2 is all you can use then thats cool just 360 has my vote (and my life according to the missus)

I like the 360 version, as it looks like the comp version, as the ps2 looks like ass on an hdtv, but I really havn't noticed any performance issues since switching to ps2/pc from 360. Maybe it's because I've got a new ps2. I know my old one could barely play anything without slowing down, unless it was on my hdd.

concerning PSU on your laptop - depends on how old it is. mine (2 year old HP pavillion) runs it barely at lowest settings. i dont get that many slowdowns either.

If your PC can run it well, go PC. If not, go PS2. Simple as that. I have both versions, I started off on PS2 but it runs so much better on my junk PC.

If I was to create and online character on the PS2, could I also use that character on the PC version?

Akaimizu
Dec 4, 2006, 02:34 PM
No need. I think the character is the same across both. So your character would already be on there, no?

Now, if you made a Japanse server character, then you would have to recreate them.

So I could sign on the PC version with my account details and my character would already be there to play as?

Akaimizu
Dec 4, 2006, 02:44 PM
Unless I'm wrong. I thought PC and PS2 use the same account information. I was thinking it was like FFXI, where you make 1 account, and then it doesn't matter what system you play it on. At least, for the PC/PS2 version of PSU.

Dec 4, 2006, 02:57 PM
Yes, that is how it works. I'm often switching back and forth between my laptop and ps2.

Well, doesn't look like I'll be switching between the two version for a while. Just went to log in and found my dog had eaten my ethernet cable.
