I can still go online after cancelling my account. I guess my HL will last until November 30th :3...

That makes sense... assuming you paid for a month, you should get a month of service, even if you cancel it early.

Hmm... why cancel, though?

wait a sec... what happened to the free month of service? Mine says my HL ends on Dec 8th and I activated my HL on Nov 8, isn't it supposed to go on till Jan 8 if I paid the 8.95 already?

If they say you need to cancel before the last 7 days of your current billing cycle, then sometime in those last 7 days is when they bill you for the next cycle. Thus, you haven't actually paid the 8.95 already.

Nov 8 -> Dec 8 is free. Dec 8 -> Jan 8 is paid for sometime between Dec 1 and Dec 8.
