How much should I sell things for?

I'm guessing I should sell things for about ten times the NPC buys them for (half of what they sell for). Does this seem fair? Are there items that I should exclude from this?

Most will sell at 1/2 of NPC's prices, some even sell lower. Don't sell more, you'd only get complaints & flames here.
