Hi, before I waste all my cash on a [B]Hanzo for my feeble PM, how many attempts at it do I get from one board?

Edit, wow registered for 6 years, but this is my first post...

lol I have a 2001 name but totally forgot it so had to make a new one, I had alot of post too.

anyways it makes 3, with a pure lvl 100 PM a weapon will have a 60% chance for the record a 8* is 54% chance.

I passed the first 7* and failed the first 8*. I dont really see how you can make a profit off crafting these and selling them (anything A rank) I did the math quickly based on force weapons

7*
Cost to make 65500
Sale price 85000
19500 profit.

however just 1 fail and you need to not fail 3 just to break even!

8*
114000 cost
185000 sale price
50k profit.

only 50% chance... fail just 1 time and you need to make 2 to break even! and this has a high sale price because you cant buy it at the npc yet otherwise it would be worse.

Looks like the money is going to be in B rank stuff, sucks my 100 Tech PM set me back a good 700k meseta. I could have used that and just bought my stuff and been much better off.

Wrong. The rate depends on weapon. My 8* Axes synthisize at a rate of 64%. The sale price is also much higher because you cannot buy the 8*s in shop. Supply/ Demand, value of B rank 5* / 6* has decreased dramatically because of the indroduction of the weapons into shops.

hmm hunter weps easier to make?? that sucks esp since your PM was 500000x cheaper/easier to raise.

The rate on 7* and 8* are pretty strict. Even with pure 100 PMs, it will still probably work out cheaper just buying them. 8* are due to be unlocked soon, and at 165k a pop. I plunked 290k down, and got 3 monomates out with 54% rate. So 165k from NPC is definitely a very good price. I doubt we will see many crafters selling below that unless they can consistently crank 3 out 3 with a 54% synth rate.

Well in the case of hunter weapons the selling point that would possibly allow them to charge more than the NPC shop is the fact synthing the weapons can have elements attached.

and remember if its a failed synth just "pull the cord" relog on cancel the the synth and try again, note you do lose mats either way, but you still ge the synth use

Yep , it was Talked about at length on the GameFAQs forums, and then alluded to on this forum (although lightly becuase it is flat out cheating , and talking about such things is a No-no)

You used to be able to get a chance to suceed the synth (try taking it out again and it would make the item) Although i think that was fixed. It is still a cheap tactic used by those who think that the game somehow cheated them out of a weapon (even though theres always at least a 1/10 of failing (max % for weapons is 90)

If you cant take the low odds burn , stay out the synth kitchen.

EDIT: typos O.o

It never had a chance to succeed if you tried again after turning off console, and they have chosen not to fix it for some odd reason **Shrug**.

How is it cheating trying to save a few meseta on boards, you still lose all the mats. Its less cheating then playing in window mode and looking up mission guides etc here at psow at the same time
