LL S - Megid woes. [Archive]

Haha, made you look.

It took Megid 69 casts to kill me. That's right, I counted. I only counted the ones that where obviously hitting me... not the "maybe" ones that hit as an enemy hit. Just to be sure it would be a pure number... for all I know it could've been higher.

Al I have is an 18% Megaline.

Everyone around me was dying on the first and second cast... mwahahaha

On a side note, saw a couple Jitseens drop. Also, when I checked the box the Florescent Bulb board usually drops in I found a Bulletmaster board which fell to me. God bless randomizer.

Jitseens sound nice....whats the lv requirement for the mission? Even if I barely pass the mark I will do it for the loot.

I think it's 35 for Unsafe PAssage S, and 45 for Fight for Food S.

I think. It puts you at such a horrendous dissadvantage if you go right at the cap though. It's like a 15 level difference if you go when you're able to.

UPS mobs are lv55
FFF mobs are 60

I get enough zeros and Newmans aren't known for having horrible accuracy, and the mobs are only 8 levels over me. >_>

Does END have anything to do with being able to resist an instant kill or do you just have to have MST over the power of the Megid?

since it factors in resisting the other tech's status effects one would assume so.

It took me 74 for my first death (with no Dark resistance at all), but I suffered my second immediately after. =o.O=;

I'm up to 21 without a third death, though.

I actualy pty on some S runs on uni 15 with some PSOW members and not once did I die from megid,secret is...if the deljabans can't "atttack"(I use that term loosely meaning when they do the attack animation) then they can't megid. I have to honestly say I was kinda sacred I was gona die and mess up the rank but the group i joined kinda got me pumped up and everything turned out nice.( BTW if you were in that group many thanks)

I was also kind of worried when I first did LL S rank, ya, I would agree w/ you about the Deljabans. You need to do huge damage and just kill them as fast as possible, Deljabans can't use megid when they're dead. Forces will play a bigger role than just healbots, they need to do some nuking as well cuz I saw some 400's coming from the monsters whenever a Fortetecher used a Ra spell on them. Hunters are also needed and they have to PA the hell out of the Deljabans. I personally limit the amount of times I PA Sendilians and Belpannons since they're not as dangerous, and save teh PP for the megid casters.

You're right about that. In that respect, there are some arts that really shine in LL S: anything that silences, anything that freezes, and anything that knocks them down. DO NOT use shock, as being unable to physically attack, they will cast megid more often.

I've found the grenade launcher pretty useful for knocking down groups of them from a safe distance. I absolutely love it! XD

I've eaten a megid while they're silenced, and it wasn't at the end of the SE, nor was it just as it was affected.
Shock is the only thing I've seen that stops megid, though I have seen the CPU cast it the moment shock wears or just before it is affected.

I normally don't die from Megid, when I usually get hit with it it just nicks a small amount on me. But I died instantly once to a level 15 monster on Parum, one hit with megid and I was out. >.<

Heh LL S is not that bad. I find it funny that the Belpannons made a bee line for the Fortegunner in our group as soon as they popped ROFL.

Seriously though i love playing fighgunner in LL S for the mear fact that i can switch between twin guns and shoot theh deljabins at a distance. I then switch to striking with dealing with sendilans/belpannons and PA them.

There have been times that i have run up behind the deljabins and switched to single saber to send them flying so that a team mate can get out of dodge.

Forces in particular are at greatest risk of getting killed. Spell casting animation [even with a wand vs staff] makes them static long enough in one spot to get nailed with megid. My friend ate it twice in a row lastnight trying to help out someone that needed curing.

I'll say this though i saw a phantom line and a junaline drop [10 star craft item] on just one run. We decided to experiment with setting rares to order and we each got one lastnight in a party of 5. Rares drop alot in LL S [even the damned moon atomizer X boards >.> seriously ST needs to make that a on rare drop U_u its taking the place of other decent rares we could get there]. I also managed to pick up a falchion [no elemental attribute] and a twin ripper[again no attribute]

I've seen deljabans throw Megid balls through silence and shock. Shock seems to help more honestly, but the best way to stop them from tossing Megid is to either close range so they try to swipe at you instead (hopefully you can shock them) or freeze them. They seem to work more as a deterrant than anything, then again maybe you need Silence Lv 4 or something to fully stop their Megid. Dunno.

And yeah, when weapons drop in those S missions it's a joy for somebody. Falchions and Jeets dropping made me go http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif Though lately no weapons have been droppin, it's sad ;_; Saw another Bulletmaster board drop in FFFS, really want those sexy twin cannons myself.
