View Full Version : I just thought of an awsome Idea.

That would be so cool if you could choose to be either a Gaurdian or a Rouge. That would be so cool, I could use my main a a goody-two-shoes Gaurdian and my second account as a bad-ass hardcore rouge.

Gaurdians protect and rouges..steal and all that good stuff! It could be cool..maybe.

Too much like Warcraft, Horde and...other guys. I like the idea of two warring factions, but the story is already 3 planets merging to fight evil.

*sigh* Oh well.

I guess fighting evil is good, too. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

LoL, sounds like a good idea but how would that effect the game play?

A challenge mode? Gaurdians against the Rouges and against the evil seeds and mobs. >.>

I see I see... might work. But there is no PvP in the game anyway

No.

It would open up a few problems.

Rogues and Guardians wouldn't be doing the same missions. Since all missions online are essentially free missions put into the Guardian's HQ, Rogues would have no way of accepting them. If they decided to create Rogue only and Guardian only missions you might not be able to party with friends due to affliliation differences.

Rogues would also have no way of getting partner cards since those seem exclusive to Guardians and their network.

I know I'm probably over complicating things but I think a lot of the details about online mode are specifically geared towards you being a Guardian and having access to this type of stuff.

Well, I believe that's possible. Let's see... maybe Moatoob could have a secret passage in the wall to the Rogue's Branch? There you could accept missions as a... DOUBLE AGENT!!!! OMG! From there you could start missions, but it would be EP2B-1 that you would start off at. This time, you'd be with Ethan. Oh, and you could still resume as a Guardian and do their missions- the Rogue's story would just be a side quest type of thing where it wouldn't affect the gameplay. My idea for partner cards would be once you have a Rogue on your team, you can't have a Guardian join you, and vice versa.

So, it could work. See?

I'd like to be a ROGUE, it would fit my character. Also would need to add in the AMF and that one in Neudaiz (forgot COH or something). Doesn't have to have different missions, but different location for My Room would be neat.

The double agent thing is tired and overplayed. Let us never mention it again.

Rogue's branch? What? Are you forgetting that the Rogues themselves don't even like each other?

What I meant about partner cards is that the network the Guardian's use for swapping partner cards, etc. isn't available to Rogues, and don't even think about giving me a "They hack into it" quick fix.

Alliance Military Force I think.

...Or just go all-out, and make it so you can join any of the four major forces on the planets/colony. You could join the AMF, the Communion of Gurhal, the various Rogue groups, or just stick with the GUARDIANs.

...Regardless, though, open PvP is a bad thing. At most, they'd allow Battle Mode games, with team designations or something. Of course, that would suck, too, just like in PSO...

A game like this already exists. It's called Silkroad Online, and it's free to play. If you want guardians protecting traders and thieves trying to steal the shipments, then play SRO.

Doubt it since the concept of Good/Evil comes from Western RPGs

I don't see why I have to play Story mode just to know, when someone here who's nice enough can tell me.

That whole quote you did, could've been a nice explanation. I haven't, and still will not touch offline mode.

The solution here is to pretend. Like all those rp threads that used to pop up. Wanna be a rogue? Yer a rogue..just not in story missions. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
For example, my character concept/background for newman fighgunner Maskim is a COG assass- err.. problem solver, specializing in.. rogue pacification.
Any siding with the rogues or amf or cog is probably going to have to be on your end, MayLee, as Segas not likely to introduce player factions anytime soon. It would, however, be an excellent way for them to introduce pvp, down the road, if they so choose.

If they did.. me and McFly would have our own little trio, hypothetically speaking they have 3 on 3 fighting.

6 on 6 would be nice, but we don't know how "advanced" Sega is. =)

In episode 2 you end up joining the rogues and it doesnt stop you accepting free missions so I dont see that being a problem http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

well you'll need to have AMF and Commuinon of Guhral too and PvP to have them fight but as the moment being a Guardian is fun

I remember when they release factions in a PS series I believe it was EP3, didn't turn out so well. Sega really went on a whimp with that game xD.

When i rp im a rogue merchant who works out of the guardians colony. He basicly makes and sells good weapons to the guardians or AMF or even COG members that make it to the colony. He is not a steal and sell type hes honest but since he gets some of his wares from contacts he is labled rogue. But due to his being a person who helps supply the Guardians and the other groups with non standard equipment, they leave him be for now.

You want to be a rogue rp thats what the rest of us do,the PSURP forum supports just that style of gameplay. It is even set up to encourage being things other than Guardian members.Haveing each faction have their own seperate network allows them to share information amongst themselves only. Also with the systemwide network they can talk freely to members of other organizations as well as civilans.

Since sega didnt give us the tools we make em thats my thoughts anyhow.

They should do some Rogue missions that you have to get from some rogue guy in some lobby that comes and goes at certain times. Then, after you complete the missions, you'd get an honorary membership into the Rogues, so you could hang out on their Rogue asteroid-bases, take cool rogue-only missions and stuff. It'd be sort of like that whole Black Paper thing, 'cept with some extra areas as a reward. And there should be a casino. Or something.
