I don't notice a problem... and even if someone were to use my character names, it doesn't matter, because I run across all kinds of people IRL with the same name as me. It doesn't make me feel any less unique... and I'm sure as hell not going to name my first born child Quexicotal for the sake of differenciating him from other children.

Actually, I hate the idea of unique names in PSU because it means there's a chance that a name I want to use will be taken. I don't like having to use a string of nonsenical characters or suffixes just to get the name I want.

Personally I dislike the idea that people can share the same name seeing as it could be used by impersonators for scamming and other fishy stuff. On the other hand, PSU kinda prevents that with the card and ID number system. It aint flawless but better than nothing at least.

Also, we mustn't forget that by letting people share names we don't have to see people (except for a few that I've already seen) named stuff like "XXXwhateverXXX, whatever2000 and wh473v4H. If a certain name is taken people usually add some silly characters to it to make it "original". Ewww I say. Ewww.

I would expect Ryoma to be in much higher use on the Japanese servers. He is a known Japanese Hero, of sorts. Most likely who the Power Stone character was named after.

Though for me, I never have problems with having original names, ever. I tend to find it very easy to stay that way by using amalgamations of European and/or nationalities outside of common English or Japanese names. Africa, India, of course going for Austrian, Russian, etc. You can take them and twist them and nobody else should've thought the same thing, especially if the twist has an inside meaning behind it.

The worst is when people copy your name then just put a space after it.

I only expect one of my character's names to be copied. The others are either from inside jokes or various western shows, so I don't expect to be seeing anyone using them.
