And is it likely there'll be also an update disk for the US version in the near-future..?

I have the US and JP versions (i like to waste money). Phew! For a moment there i thought i was going to have to fork out more money.

I'm leaving the k/b for awhile i did have an opportunity to buy one a while back but it was too expensive like about 70 pounds, i got ripped of twice before never again, here what i paid for the copies - i know i could of got them a lot cheaper but i just couldn't wait cause i didn't pre-order an no one else had them in stock: JP+modem = 90 pounds, US no modem = 80 pounds. BTW i didn't include p+p. LOL.

Import shops blatantly using the shortage of US copies as an excuse to charge whatever the hell they like..

least we got ours though ^ ^

No update disk for US, but you pay twice the HL fee importers do. You'll most likely get screwed out of quests and other things too, if things go the way they did back on DC.

But importers face a problem with this damn disk. Losing all your items mezeta and most likely techniques. I guess I could deal with that...kinda...I mean, you'll probably keep your level. The porblem is GETTING the damn thing. And you DO want it as an importer, cause without it, you can only play online with the duping scum that have the original disk.

Quite a mix...and I'm not even goign into the whole keyboard issue...

The fact that a Keyboard was not released for PSOGC before or during release was a MASSIVE fuck up on Sega's part.

Not to mention they left BBA problems in US release.

My opinion is if I buy the v1.1 update disk I will be able to convert characters. It may be true that Japanese people looking to trade in their old copy for the new "updated" version will be able to, but Sonic Team is way too lazy to make it so that only people that trade in their copy will be able to convert chars. It's just way too time consuming.
