Can someone translate the changes? I see MIPMAP here, as well as Posteffects, GH-450, and the like...

Just incase you want to know, that says it will increase the frequency that she (GH-450) heals in combat.

Regarding Maintenance:
-The switch bug in Bruce's Dungeon is fixed. (You know, the one where you run over a switch already held down and it'll deactivate.)
-The bug in Bruce's Dungeon where if you fail by disconnection, other players cannot rejoin your party, has been fixed.
-Fixed the bug for the inability to chat if the leader abandons Bruce's Dungeon forcefully.
-Fixed the bug where you could invite multiple PMs into party.
-A bug involving Rare monsters in the missions "Winged Beast Under the moon" and "Recapture the Tunnel" (Mizuraki moonlight and Underground Stream respectively) has been fixed
-Fixed bugs involving Container items in the mission "Recapture the tunnel"
-Fixed a syncronization problem involving Dark Fakis form 2
-Fixed a bug where Silence didn't work on Deljabans casting megid (so yes, to end the stupid argument, the fact that shock worked on blocking Deljaban megid is most likely this bug)
-Fixed a bug where a player could be disconnected by using a photon art, but the effect would remain
-Fixed a bug where Tenora Works boards are received when buying on Neudaiz (should be Youmei boards)
-Fixed a bug where you could fail at a low rate consumable items, which should have a 100% rate.
-Fixed a bug where you could attack when you have both the main menu and the chat log open
-Can now see cutin chats at the mision counters
-Switching the chat log while operating your pallette is now possible (why you would, I don't know)
-Post effects problem fixed (remember how some of you weren't getting effects 90% of the time?)
-Windows Version, you can now turn Mipmap on and off under the custom tab
-When mipmap is turned out, you can see distant graphics get dimmer (sorta like reality)

Balance Adjustments
-GH-450 healing frequency increased
-Story mission rewards changed.
-You can no longer farm PA fragments in the story missions. The first time you get S, you get 10 fragments. After that, you don't get any.
-Correction to a portion of Kubara melee weapons, in which the PM stats actually affected the success rate.

edit: made a mistake on the deljaban bug

Given SoA's history of applying balancing patches before the content that goes with it, I'd say the answer is "yes".

Something tells me the "bug" was intended...

*sigh*

Maybe it's just my frustration from way back when rearing its ugly head...

Stupid SEGA, breaking quests so only non-English players could do 'em...

Could this be the beginning of implementing 1280+ resolution and FSAA?

Long as they fix the crazy Parum lag, I'm fine. Hell, I'm fine even if they don't fix it, it's not that big of a deal.

It's not even like that, it's just that the PC version doesn't even cater to all PC types.

It really was just a STRAIGHT port with little to no optimization. If they offered AA, sure that'd be nice, but I'd prefer a wider choice of resolutions for one.

You take it as if we're demanding an upgrade jeez, a couple of us were just going on the prospect of a couple of visual optimizations for the PC, what do you have against it?

The fact is that though plays, there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting the game to look as good as possible.
Even if it's only allowing us to play in a higher resolution, then that's fine, I'm sure the 360 crowd is beating us out there, so I see no reason as to why they COULDN'T do it.

Correction to a portion of Kubara melee weapons, in which the PM stats actually affected the success rate. Also lame, why would that PM you spent thousands of meseta and countless hours on actually be able to improve the god awful synth rates http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

in the title screen, press the button that would let you switch throught "name -> name with level -> serial number -> no name" ingame. the version number should appear in the lower left corner iirc.

Mipmapping has nothing to do with anti aliasing.

I don't even know why you'd want to turn it off. Turning it off will create annoying aliasing effects on distant textures and may also be a performance liability.

What I'd like them to fix regarding the engine is the fact that whenever the game slow downs below 60 fps, it actually moves slower instead of just getting more jerky like every other game. Manual frameskip setting? LAWL Sega. Learn2code.

I also suspect that their particle engine is horrible, since slowdowns seem to occur a lot when particle effect are being displayed and stop right as they disappear.

Right, but I don't think the game supports mipmapping at all in the current state, so the ability to turn it on should help blur textures in teh distance and reduce the lag on Parum, no?

Hmmm, now that you mention it, maybe there is currently no mipmapping indeed. And yes, it should improve performances.

You all appear to be mistaken. The game forces mipmapping, the option is only to turn it off. It made certain people and certain cards lag pretty bad in some areas (*Cough* mizuraki *cough*)

I find that if you play at a high enough resolution, Anti-Aliasing ceases to be important. It might be considered that you can end up with poorer performance by cranking up the Anti-Aliasing, than by cranking up the resolution, instead.

Thus far, it's been my experience that having the resolution set to, what is it? 1280x968? By having the resolution cranked way up there, my computer runs the game smoothly, while at the same time, is quite visually pleasing. I don't see that Anti-Aliasing is actually needed.

The part about Kubara weapons % being changed... Perhaps it's my imagination but I looked at the success rate for my Deljagnus today and it said 51%. I could swear that last time I looked before the update it was 33%.

Also, my 410GH seems to have gotten better about healing herself. Several times since the update she's healed herself before I even felt she was in danger. She wasn't even in the yellow. It might just be because she recently hit battle efficiency 40 though.

Yay that means pure crafting PMs finally are better than new PMs at making kubara stuff.

Tweaked around with settings, now running game at 1024x768, forced 16x AS, forced 2xQ AA and forced trilinear mipmaps. Game runs with no FPS drops and looks good.
